This past weekend my wife and I were volunteering for the special Olympics at the Wide World of Sports for my wife's school. For doing so we were put up at the All Star sports resort for two nights. We had never stayed at any of the All star resorts before and thought this would be a neat experience. It was an experience alright. The resort itself looked fine and had a good atmosphere by the pool. It had a large eatery with plenty of options. The room however was somewhat poor quality. The beds were hard and the pillows were harder. The towels were thin and the sink was clogged up. My wife and I came to the conclusion that DVC resorts have spoiled us very much. Mind you we weren't expecting it to be DVC but we're surprised how less tolerant we were of it. The worst part was that next door was a room full of teenagers! They were up to past 2a.m. They were obnoxiously loud and the only thing separating us and them was the thin wall and a door that you can see the light through and therefore you can hear everything; profanity and all. Then they started smoking which bled in to our room. I called the front desk and informed them and they told me the would send security which never arrived. These boys were part of some sports team. Oh and the chaperones for the team sat right out side my door talking WAY loud. I went out there and asked them to tone it down and they politely moved down the way. However they were still loud and were up to 4 a.m. The next day when you entered our room you would have thought that we were the ones smoking, it was that bad. My wife did inform the chaperones of the smoking and how loud the boys were and they sorted out the guilty parties. But man what a bad experience. We ended up leaving the next day skipping on our last night there, we were glad to go home instead.
