Telling people the Case is Closed or Disney doesn't have to Justify themselves to anyone isn't reasonable. We have rights to question and Thank God we live in a country that allows this. We might not get the answers but we can question. Disney is owned by Shareholders and the management is accountable to the Shareholders. Police records are open to the public. Most importantly, as a customer, people may look at their actions and decide to vacation elsewhere.
I believe the Castmembers acted poorly and emotionally in this matter. Is the future of Disney Customer Relations? You comment on how poorly you were treated and that gives the castmember the right to ban you for life because they don't like your tone? It is sad that Disney has a rubber stamp so readily available t ban but no efficient way to appeal or discuss such a ban in a reasonable manner.
Some people, including myself, don't believe the comment he has put forward is a reasonable reason to ban a guest for life. If that is the primary reason for the ban then, I believe an objectionable person from an Disney Management should look at the whole event and look at the situation to make sure Disney personnel acted in a manner that Disney wanted. Allowing the cast-member or supervisor to arbitrarily ban a persons for life gives perception of prosecute, judge and executioner all wrapped into one.
Issues to Lo ok at include........Was it reasonable to leave a customer on hold for that length of time? Was the castmembers attitude or comment to the guest consistent with their training. Issues regarding the guest's side of things include the man was medicated for his disability. Did the time of night and his medications have an effect on his statements? Was there other factors that could have impeded his abilities. There are plenty of disabilities which cause people to say the wrong thing. Maybe, a manager should have said, I understand your upset but these type of comments are taken seriously and give him an opportunity to rescind or apologize.
These factors are called CONTEXT. Perhaps, the Castmember took his statement out of context? What other evidence did the castmember and supervisors have to make such a decision? Has Disney been having a problem with drug dealers coming to the resort and paying a premium rate to make meth in hotel rooms? A Mousekeeping is in each hotel room cleaning every day (except DVC) . I am sure they would have noticed ammonia, acetone, battery acid, brake cleaner and antifreeze lying around. Plus, the toxic smell is overwhelming. Did they have reports of this?
I think banning a person for life is a huge decision for a company. It is a power that should yielded lightly and just. In the middle of the night, while kicking a person out doesn't sound objectionable or just. Many companies will give such notices like criminal trespass notices when a person is convicted of a crime that occurred on their premises.

He was banned for repeatedly being belligerent to cast members, security, and finally the police. His YouTube videos document that he's had multiple problems with Disney security in the past and that he flipped out on the police and security this time. It's not a one off event that resulted in him getting kicked. It's years of abuse of staff members.

It's incredibly disingenuous at this point to behave like this is a one off event. Even in the person's own words he's had multiple run-ins with Disney security over the years that have become incredibly heated. He admits to being abusive towards cast members. He admits to being abusive towards the police when they finally came to give him the boot. It isn't someone making a one off comment. It's years of employees being verbally abused and harassed and Disney deciding he's not worth it anymore. And all of that come from his own words.
What he said doesn't even matter really. It's the fact that he's been repeatedly abusive that got him turfed.

Looks like another fool who has learned the hard way that words have consequences.
A guest has:
repeated issues with Disney CM's and security
A CM perceives a threat from an idiot.
Disney says enough is enough and bans a person who thinks " a meth lab" or in hindsight he thinks a bomb or atomic bomb would be more appropriate words.
Why the outrage?
The national outrage would be if Disney had a guest who was "known" to them, had been hostile/disruptive in the past, and after overhearing what the CM assumed was a joke did not report it to the police and some form of tragedy occurred afterwards.
The person may or may not be unstable. Not saying this guest is any of these things but lets say a hypothetical guest returns to the front desk and there is carnage. The family will say he had been depressed, he had stopped taken his meds, he was a good loving family man, but had changed.... etc....
Ban him. If Disney chooses to reverse course that is up to them. Disney has the responsibility of 30,000 rooms of guests on property and millions of visitors each year. With that many visitors there are going to be people with bad intentions. It is a business and if they choose not to want a person on their property they have that right.
I think his family is better off going without him. If he was obnoxious with cast members he was probably obnoxious with his family too. They will have more fun without him....for joking about a meth lab?

Wait... I'm confused. It says Orange County police were called. But I thought this took place in DW. He was staying at the Pop Century resort , but Orange County police were called. Am I missing something or seriously over thinking it?
Good. I'm tired of people that think they can get away with crap like that. I work at a post office and when you ask if anyone has certain things in their packages and they think it funny to say yes and tell you there just joking after you try to figure what is really in the package. It's not funny at all. He said it so he should get banded. It the same if someone said hijack on a plane. People need to think before they open their mouths.
The thing about the post office, and I know this is a bit off topic, but the postal worker has every right to ask if it is perishable, hazardous, liquid, flammable, etc. When they start saying, "well what is it?" or "what are you shipping all the way to xxxx?" I don't really see how that is any of their business as long as it is within the shipping guidelines. The Postmaster at my local post office is pushy about asking what everything is every person mails. Maybe when people say stupid things it is because they feel like they are being treated like a criminal. I do not agree that getting smart is the right way to respond, but some people do not have great control when it comes to being defensive.
