So this morning, I was wondering if when DVC members check into DAKV if they are going to "Theme" the welcome home? So I was looking trying to figure out what Welcome Home is in Swahili.
Anyone on the boards either more of a linguist than I, or even know Swahili?
Based on looking things up on the Yale site I'm guessing, "nyumbakaribia" this close, or total non-sense. Nyumba seems to be the word for "Home", and the sufix "-karibia" is the word for welcome.
I know that stringing English translations of foreign words together doesn't always translate the way you might think. But I'm giving it a shot.
