I find it so weird that Disney built an entire land in animal kingdom that was hyped as this crazy experience at night, and insist on limiting the nighttime hours you can experience it. I guess this time of year it’s not as big an issue, but as someone who goes in June, the 7 o’clock closing times baffle me

7pm works okay for winter, it was dark by 6:15 the other day. But it definitely doesn’t work for summer months.

Any guesses to when it will be back 🤔
Well, the water being filled is a good sign, but the show wasn't mentioned in recent releases about other new and returning favorites:

Feb 11, Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade
Feb 25, Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire Castle Stage Show
March 9, Festival of Fantasy Parade

March 12th will be the two-year anniversary of Fantasmic being shutdown. That date could be significant, especially given the timeline above, but it's speculation at this point.

ETA: It should be noted that Disneyland's return of Fantasmic might occur faster than Disney World. They have apparently done a test run, and have announced a 'Spring' reopening. Disney World has made no indication of which season the show will come back in. Does that put it at Summer or later? Either way, keep an eye on Disneyland, as a potential foreshadow to our return.
