Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun - 2024 Edition

Oh really? I thought it was so good. Very interesting and unusual way to end. Says so much about the characters without spelling things out

"Keep in mind, I only sat through this umpteenth Japan saga because of Anna as Toda. So while it was a good enough sacrifice, I just really enjoy Anna Sawai in Monrach, didn't want her off the show esp the entire finale. I thought I wouldn't care for the finale if she was dead from being blown up-and I was correct. She seemed to be finally standing up for herself-even coming apart at the seems. I didn't mean literally. Similar to Anjin, kept waiting for his constantly planning to get his ship and help for once-nope. Yoshii even said he will sink it if he rebuilds it anyway."

I get that. The ending was slightly different from the book, or at least how I remember it. It also didn't have some of the stuff I expected because they were in the original and seemed so important for the story. But overall I enjoyed it.

I'm looking forward to this. I think of him as someone very like Walt Disney, and I miss him the same as I miss Walt.

I once read a story from someone who was on-set of a Muppets production, and he said that even when cameras weren't rolling, that you would go talk to Jim and he'd have Kermit and you would talk to him, and he and Kermit would respond separately, as two different people, and that you could have a three-way conversation with you, Jim and Kermit. He said you wouldn't even realize it, end up looking at Kermit when he spoke, as if he was just another person. The sheer level of genius that it takes to do that is very impressive!

My husband's grandfather was an AV specialist and knew Jim Henson as they coincided in Maryland for some time. He used to tell a similar story!

And that is why Jeff Dunham is so amazingly successul and popular.

Hate to see the boneyard going... if you don't have small kids you wouldn't get it but when I say my kids can spend two hours in there and not get bored I am not exaggerating.
You do not exaggerate. My Boneyard memories were of spending hours in the hot sun perched uncomfortably on a rock while the nieces and nephews ran around like chickens with their heads cut off.

Yea it’s total obvious that it is going away I was on dinosaur today and although it is deemed as a dark ride it truly is.

We have decided to introduce a new attraction set in the world of the Disney movie "Wreck-It Ralph" in Tomorrowland at Tokyo Disneyland starting in 2026.
This new attraction is a renewal of Tokyo Disneyland's attraction ``Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters.''

In this attraction, guests are invited to take on the role of familiar characters from the movie in order to save the world of Sugar Rush, a racing game in the land of sweets, which is about to be destroyed by a glitch called the Sugar Bug created by King Candy. Together with Ralph, Vanellope, and the others, they will return Sugar Bug to its original form of cute sweets such as cookies and cakes.

Will the guests be able to save the world in the candy land racing game "Sugar Rush"? Please look forward to the attraction that will be born at Tokyo Disneyland and will provide a new experience set in the world of movies.

As a result, "Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blaster" will be closed in October 2024.
The adjacent product facility "Planet M" will also undergo a theme change and renovation.

We’re going next month but I think we’re already planning to go back in a couple years for fantasy springs and now this!
