We spent 3 amazing days with park hoppers and Genie + and the west coast did not disappoint! After 12 trips to WDW we weren’t sure what to expect but wow - it was fabulous. Thanks to Makayla at Dreams Unlimited Travel we booked Howard Johnson’s Waterpark, Lamplight Lounge, Carnation Cafe, and Blue Bayou. The weather was beautiful. Parks were busiest on Thursday 8/24 but DCA closed a bit earlier that night. World of Color is stunning and should be the show in Epcot. Webslingers is really fun and Guardians Mission Breakout is as good as Tower of Terror. The Cars Land ride and Haunted Mansion were closed. Tiana’s looks ready to open. That area is beautiful. Indiana Jones is very cool. Pirates and Space Mountain are better in DL imo. Pixar Pier is really fun. Incredacoaster was our favorite ride. San Fran Sokyo is ok - it’s just food. Lamplight was really good. The lobster nachos and potato skins lived up to the hype. All the restaurants have good food and we thought food choices overall were better than WDW. 3 days with genie and hoppers was enough time. We rode many of our favorites multiple times and we saw everything we wanted (except for Rogers but DH wasn’t interested).
HoJo was very nice. We were in a renovated king room in building 2 that was very a spacious. The walk was maybe 8 minutes and the area was very safe. There were people at the traffic light with religious signs and microphones, but they were only outside the park on Friday morning. We even saw the Angels on 8/23 and Ohtani pitched 1 1/2 innings and hit a home run! Highly recommend seeing a game if you’re baseball fans. The stadium is maybe 3 miles away and really fun. Can’t wait to go back and maybe get to Oogie Boogie next time.
