Any recent experiences with the DVC Tour? Did they give you a gift card, Fastpasses, or both? To get the gift card, do you have to be invited through email?

We did the tour in early June. We were sitting near the Downtown Disney dvc location, and a dvc employee brought over stickers for our kids and asked if we were interested.

We had originally wanted to sign up for an afternoon tour time, and would have received 3 FPs per ticket for that, but she said they were really trying to fill their morning times so if we did the tour before 11 am, she'd add a $100 disney gift card.

We took that offer, and did the tour the following day. She swore up and down that it would only take 60-90 mins, but from the time they picked us up til we were back to the parks was a full 3 hrs. We got actually $105 in gift cards (7 $15 gift cards) and 5 multi-experience fps per ticket.

The tour itself was interesting, our 3, 8, and 10 yr olds enjoyed the play room they got to be in during the tour. Our 20 month old was with us the whole time and napped through most of it, but they did have a small toy box in our tour room as well.

We decided not to purchase and I think made it pretty clear that we were not in a position to buy in. A few days after getting home from our trip, we got a package in the mail thanking us for doing the tour, with 4 dvc coloring books for our kids. Cute pictures to color, but very much a sales tool with a quiz thing encouraging our kids to ask us to join dvc, lol.

If you hadn’t scheduled the earlier time, would they still have given you a gift card, but maybe a smaller one? Or would they not have given you one at all?
