Everything Park Hopping - Please Read Post 1

Wow, so glad I checked out this thread. This shuts down my plan to be in Epcot on my way to Studios for a chance at the 1PM Galaxy VQ not the end of the world but I wanted to be in my 2nd park around noon. I planned on leaving MK between 11:00 and 12:00. I guess my old school is showing :sad1:
I'm not a passholder, so someone can confirm, but I think you should be ok with your original plan. The statement you referenced above is referring to if you have NO park reservations for the day. If you have a reservation for MK, you should be able to park hop at any time as long as you have scanned into MK first. The 2:00 pm rule is for the first park of the day is with no reservation for any park, not park hopping.

Ah thank you for clarifying that is what I was confused about.

Okay...starting at the beginning of this thread(?) has left me very confused. For context- I have not been to WDW in a decade, so the limits on park hoppers are completely foreign to me. I've gathered that we can go to as many parks as we want, at any time that we want, but is there some limitation on how many people can "hop" to a park now? Our tickets do not require park reservations, or so I was told by the WDW travel people (and I hope that is accurate because having to figure that our on top of everything else might just be too much for me! lol), so I'm not sure how it works. It used to be we'd get our fill of one park, and just head to another whener the mood struck us. This thread makes it all seem so complicated to me...am I completely wrong?

Except under rare circumstances (e.g. Christmas Day), you are free to hop. VERY occasionally (i.e. twice in 4+ years) park hopping has been stopped and only to the MK. Unless your are planning to visit on Christmas Day or New Year's Day, I would not be concerned with park hopping limitations.
