Still haven't heard anything from Media Relations or Data Collection Specialist for a second interview

I have a general question to those currently living outside of FL.

Do you think the internships pay enough for us to successfully move down there? That's a big question at the back of my mind.

it depends on which internship you get (some make only about 8 dollars an hour compared to management which is salaried at 600 a week). it also depends on how frugally you're willing to live

Just wanted to let everyone know that I got a call today for a second interview with Guest Relations. I know a lot of people have been waiting for Guest Relations and Events to get to their interviews, so hopefully this means they are!

Well, I just finished my second interview for Guest Relations. I think it went really well. They focused a lot on my prior experiences with Disney, how I played the role, etc. Guess we will see.

I just finished my second interview for Retail Management. I'm not sure how I feel about it- I think I could have done better! I am still hoping though! They say we will find out within 2 weeks. Has anyone else applied for Cast Services Recruiting? I haven't heard anything from them...

My husband has his second interview tomorrow with Disney Vacation Club marketing! He is really hoping for this one or one of the other marketing ones he applied for. We want to go to Disney!

: I just finished my second interview for the Recreation Services Internship. Obviously, i could have done better, but i am confident that it went well. Has onyone else applied for this position or the Management Internship-Recreation? I still haven't heard back from that one.

Anyone heard/know anything about Work Force Planning and Analysis or Operations Learning and Development? I've had second interviews for both but haven't heard back. I know Ops Learning and Development made the decision last Friday, just didn't know how quickly to expect a turn around.

I just accepted my offer for Sales & Event Internship!!! I am so excited!!!!

Just got off the phone with Labor Operations. The interview was for the Labor Operations Project Analyst position.

Here is the rundown of questions:

1) A little about yourself
2) Do a SWOT analysis of yourself (Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities Threats)
3) Walk us through a time you solved an analytical and technical problem
4) On a scale of 1 to 5 rank your proficency in Excel, with 5 being completely proficent
5) On a scale of 1 to 5 rank your proficency in Access, with 5 being completely proficent
6) How comfortable are you in learning new software and legacy systems designed specfically for Disney?
7) How do you prioritize your busy life?
8) Tell us about a time you developed a team
9) Tell us about a time where you provided exceptional guest service
10) Tell us about a time you were disappointed or less than pleased with yourself

I then gave my closing statement and asked them a few questions and we chatted about Horizons!!!!

They said 3-4 weeks wait time. So here we go again.

IMPORTANT!!! If anyone has JASON MALECKI or KARA PRESTON's emails at Disney, please PM me. I've tried the usual convention and searched the HUB and i can't find it anywhere.

Any updates on the Rooms and Related PIs? Seems to be pretty quiet around here lately.

Got an email saying that I made it into round 2 of selection about a month ago and would be contacted. Have yet to hear a word from them. Saw a few posts back that some people have interviews with them on April 7th, which is long gone for now.

Wonder why they never contacted me.

I guess retail management has started making calls already. I saw on facebook that someone already got a call from them and they had their interview monday morning. I just want one acceptance phone call soon!!!

I had my interview with rooms and related on monday morning, They were interviewing 31 people for 12 positions. thats all about all I know. Sorry I can't be more of help.

Well, if they were interviewing 31 peeps for 12 positions, that leaves me out.

What kind of qualifications do you have that they selected you for it?

Kinda bothers me because I dont know why or for what reason I wouldnt have been , at the very least, chosen for an interview.

On top of being a graduating senior, honor student, affilitated with national business and academic fraternities, a veteren of the of the Iraq war, having prior management experience, having my general manager of my resort calling professional recruiting to offer his recommendation, being featured on the Eyes and Ears, The Communicater, and being on the front page of the WDW website and being personally commended by Meg Crofton ( President ) and Kevin Myers ( Vice President of WDW resorts ) during my CP.......

I have no clue what I dont have that others do.

Point in fact, the last 2 PIs that my work had didnt have any prior CP experience, no prior job history ( as this was their first job ) , and overall ended up being a pretty horrible manager. They get their shot, yet others dont.

Please help enlighten me. I still work at Disney, so Ill see the new PIs that come in. Willing to bet they dont even meet the required qualifications posted on the Disney website, just like the last ones didnt.

WOW!!! You have accomplished alot during your lifetime, and that's great!!!! But don't give up hope, even at the last moment your PI could come through!!! I just taking a guess, not 100% certain but you may be a little over-qualified for the PI position. If you are curious about why you haven't heard anything just ask.
