Has anyone done this recently? Is it worth the money? Are there alot of people or do they have a limit on the number of people? How far in advance can I book?
Thanks,
Kimba

We did it when we were there 2 years ago and are doing it again in September. We enjoyed it. My ds will be almost 6 this time so I am sure he will enjoy it so much more. I will warn you that you cant be the type to embarrass easily since you hop, skip and jump through the park. If you have a Disney visa and pay with that I think you save 20%.

kimbac3- I'm glad you asked about this... I'm considering this for our trip in December.

Mish-My only hesitation is the final character meeting--I've heard most of the time it is Capt. Hook. My DD4 would probablly run the other way. She is afraid of the villians, especially Capt. Hook. How is this done? Would we know ahead of time during the tour, so I could prepare her? Thanks

I've heard good things about this tour. The one tip that seems consistent, is to be prepared to be silly.

Also note- you can book your tour now as booking is open through the end of the year. No need to wait for the 90 day mark. I'll be doing the tour with DD (age 7) on Dec 13 and was able to book it in early August.

My dd (10), my younger ds (5) and I did this tour for ds' 5th birthday. We had a blast! There were only two other families along when we did the tour. Peter Pan met us at the end of the tour, and that man is amazing!

We did this several years ago when my daughter was about 5. She was also afraid of Hook. It was just us and another family with 1 child that was the same age as mine. They had a blast! When Hook was mentioned my daughter grimaced... then I heard the tour guide tell Peter that we weren't going to see Hook today. I think that her being scared was the reason.

It was a lot of fun! ::yes:: She has even mentioned wanting to do it again.

We are definetly doing this tour. I think I'll keep it a secret.
Thanks:wave:

Honest response please.

By the sounds of the description on the wdw website it sounds like fun. But then reading about it here. . . .

well a friend of mine will be down there the same time I am and we are planning a day of fun just the two of us. We are both adults. We thought about doing this tour because it sounded like fun, again by the description on the wdw website. But after reading it here, well I am having second thoughts. :o

Also being that we would probably doing the tour with kids, we as adults wouldn't want to obviously ruin anything for the kids.

Can anyone tell me that has gone from an adults standpoint please.

IMHO, the only time to take this tour is if you have kids with you. My wife and I got our pleasure from watching the faces of our kids as we did silly things throughout the park. The interaction the kids had with Peter Pan and Wendy was priceless. I'm not sure I would have enjoyed it so much if we did not have the kids.

Honestly, I think this is something that is really for the kids. I enjoyed it so much because of the fun of watching my two kids have fun.

Does anyone have any thoughts on whether this would be appropriate for an 11 year old boy, or is it geared to a little younger crowd? Thanks.

You know, I've wrestled with this, too. I have 5 kids, aged 6,8,10,13,15. I know the youngest 3 would like it, but I wasn't sure about the older two. But.....then again....they are both really good sports, and if they know their little brother and sisters are having fun, then heck....why not? So we'll act silly and get a little embarassed at Disney World! I can't think of a better place! ;)

We also have been debating about this for our upcoming trip! We have a ds(7)! Would love to hear some reviews of families with boys around that age??? I really need to make a decision soon! TIA!

I would say it would depend on your old child. My DD who will be turning 20 on this trip is so looking forward to doing the tour. She had a blast 2 years ago. When we went there were some older children who were board and didn't want to finish the tour.

We did the Family Magic Tour on our recent trip in July. We have a 4 and a half yr old DD and we had an awesome time! There were three other girls besides our DD. The oldest was around 7 and she seemed to have a great time. She was the only child who could read so she read the clues for all of us. Each child and adult has a chance to lead the group doing somethng like hopping, skipping, or whatever but they don't have to - our DD got shy on that one. The two hour treasure type hunt takes you through the whole park. We actually were crawling on our stomachs through a restaurant in Tomorrowland:rotfl: ! There was an older couple with us without kids and they seemed to enjoy themselves as much as the rest of us. If you like to partcipate and have fun I don't think it matters if you have kids or not. But I do have to say it was the highlight of our trip to watch our DD play with Peter Pan and Wendy and she got to hold Wendy's hand as they walked through the park to Mickey's Philharmagic show (you get to go on a ride with the characters at the end of the tour without waiting in line!) We had a great time and would definitely do it again. Our DD still talks about it and can't wait to go back and play with Peter Pan again. She has been wearing her Peter Pan costume almost everyday since we got home!

Thanks for all the reply's! I do have another question? Has everyone recently had Peter Pan and Wendy? Any other characters ever??? Also, how many in your group? Thanks for continued responses!!!

Our group had about 11 or 12 people including us. I think the limit is 25 but don't quote me on that. I know they never guarantee which characters will show up but it seems to be Peter Pan and Wendy a lot. When you call to book the CM may be able to help you, I hope. If you decide to book it I know you'll have a great time.::yes::

We, me, DH and DD, 9 booked the tour for 9/4, it is a real fun experience so I'm told! I'm excited to see how my daughter reacts because she does not know I booked it. We go to MK, meet at the Tour Garden and from there we will be asked to help with the villians...Her face will be priceless :) Now the thing is for me and my DH to keep a straight face and not show we know about it ;) And to let the kid in us out and enjoy the skipping around LOL.

It's going to be fun and even though I don't know about how many characters we get to meet or what else is going to happen, I have full faith in WDW to know how to make it "magical"

I'm too excited to get going for my own good!!!!
