feeling defeated

Hello Friends,
Today my DD went for a CT scan with dye, now we sit and wait for results. Thats the hard part. Overall she looks good, keeping in mind she still has a large deep wound. I am efficient in caring for the wound and dressing/cleaning it.I almost canceled the appointment today .. I then thought .. I need to know! I asked for the turnaround time, about a week. The unfortunate part is the specialist that ordered this test is in the city, which is 2 hours from me. I keep reminding myself not to dwell on it and look at my sweet DD! She is feeling well ... still no idea about her upcoming trip!!!!She has a bowling/pizza party planned! If you have a few extra prayers .. please keep us in mind <3

Thinking about you today @weswife - less than a week to go! Sunday is also my sweet baby boy’s 1-year birthday so praying for blessings all around for this very special and momentous day! I’m sure you’re a lot more prepared than I am for the birthday festivities considering you’re making shirts and travel arrangements and I only just thought to myself “Wait should I get balloons?”

No CT results yet. We have a phone consult booked for the 17th to review. The unknown is a fear but again can't change the results .. sooooo .. I decided to push it to the back of my brain for now. Today we got more packages, this trip is getting real. Also got the luggage tags for the cruise! We booked the Sunshine flyer to and from the airport. Its getting real <3

If you do not get the results - because you of course have no control over it - do not forget that in the end it would be a good thing for insurance purposes, weswife.

Just focus on having a wonderful time.

(I know these are the hardest days where you are excited but a million things go through your head regardless. There is a point to make a decision to let it all go. Love sent.)

Hello friends!!!
Today I spent the day packing .. packing.. packing!!! All holding in the secret! She spent most of the day in her room on her phone and listening to music! So it was easy to get stuff done! I got all her dressing bandages and meds packed in a carry on! Added more to each of our suitcases in case something happens. I remembered to put her nursing visits on hold for the10 days! I honestly can’t believe this is happening!!!! My friend said you must be so excited for your trip … honestly yes but over the moon for her 3 years ago we were told this day would never come and we would not have her. I can still hear those words!!!! I still remember the day I wrote the post pouring my heart out to people I don’t even know. The responses I got lifted me up during my darkest days and ℹ appreciated it so much! Each of you helped me so much. Geezz still tears as I type this! Packing the suv tonight so she doesn’t see the suitcases! One more sleep
