Friends & Family mailing

I am a new member. I received my blue membership cards just days ago. I was excited to open a seperate mailing announcing a Friends & Family promotion. Very aware of this promotion, since we benfited from it when joining, I thought "This is great, I can't start referring myself now as an owner!". Well, after reading the fine print, it noted, "Promotion ends December 31, 2006."

What?? Why did they send this to me? What a waste of postage!

I got this same thing in with a reservation I recently made and I was wondering the same thing. I was all ready to add-on!
