Morning! I know, I missed you. Kathy is gone, but Tammy is MIA...maybe she fell asleep and is still dreaming about Dream Girls?
...everyone else usually shows up later.
So I'll just sit here and talk to myself. Tammy, we hope when our kids are grown they will still voluntarily spend time with us. (There is always the DVC to hold over their heads..
)
This morning was another non-standard one--Field Day! I feel strange because I'm not volunteering this year, but I have been in DSs class three times this week if you count last Friday's field trip, so it was time to do some other things.
I miss doing all of that stuff! Good thing I talked to my friend this morning online. She mentioned having to bake cookies for the afterprom party tonight, and that reminded me that I have to drop off 4 cases of water after 2pm sometime.
The travelin' boy is doing fine. He said his shingles are bugging him less and the little blisters are healing, so I think he's probably on the downhill slide. We have successfully gotten through two nights away without a "come pick him up" call, so the world is good.
They DID do the Dolphin cruise yesterday because it was on the Inlet side of the island, not out in the surf. But he said it was a little rough and there were whitecaps on the inlet
! But they did find some dolphins!
They also spent some time at the shore learning from Marine Biologists. I asked him, and he said the waves were big, but we've been to the beach before when there were big storms somewhere else and he said it was about like that. (No, he didn't see anyone from the Weather Channel!) Today they finish up in the historic section of Savannah and head out. As soon as he gets home he has to jump in the car and drive across town for the start of a--you guessed it!--LaCrosse game. They're playing in an end of season tournament that starts tonight!
Somehow, I dont' think he'd tell you if the weather was really rough.
And I'm going to try to chase off some of those dust bunnies today and get my house in order since it looks like I'll be doing this all weekend.
