Ok, well now it's not a secret.
Does anyone else like substituting plain nonfat Greek yogurt for mayo and/or sour cream? I find myself looking at recipes and changing things up all the time to see if I will really notice and/or miss the taste of the other ingredients.
My favorite one is to make ranch dip/dressing using Greek yogurt in place of the mayo and only using a small amount of sour cream. I don't mind the bite of the yogurt, but I find that you do need a little bit of sour cream to balance it out.
My newest experiment was to sub Greek yogurt for the mayo in deviled eggs. And I was pretty happy with the results.
Anyone else like using Greek yogurt to make things a bit healthier? I find that using it really helps me cut down some calories during the day that I really don't need.
