We always use DME and always get a grocery delivery from Garden Grocer. Although some of their prices are higher than what I pay at home some are comparable (we live in the DC area which has a high cost of living). For example, I priced fresh strawberries with GG. They were expensive at $5.99 for a LB - but guess what? They were also $5.99 / LB at my local grocery store when I went shopping on Friday. (FWIW I won't buy them ANYWHERE for that much tho.) Anyway, I just placed an order last night with them for next weekend. I still find it easier than renting a car for a simple grocery stop and certainly cheaper than hiring a car service to pick us up when DME is free. We are only going for a long 4 n / 3 day weekend - my time at the World is precious. We land at MCO at 9:15 Fri. night. Last thing I want to worry about is how to get some food staples. My order was only for 9 items (mostly breakfast stuff, water & beer) and by the time I added the del. fee, tax and a tip it was $70. My most expensive purchase was a 12-pack of Miller Lite for DH @ $13.99. My DH said that is probably only somewhere between $1 and $2 higher than what it would cost him to buy a 12-pack here at home. Meanwhile, Disney will charge approx. $6 PER beer. So for us it is worthwhile to just place the order, have it delivered to Jambo House Bell Services and pick it up from them when we arrive at the resort on Friday night at probably 10 or 10:30. Then we are good to go for the weekend. I use Garden Grocer over WeGoShop because I want to pre-pay by credit card and don't want to have to be available to receive the order. (WeGo prefers that you are there in person and they prefer that you pay in cash.) I just want it delivered before I even arrive so that it's waiting on me. No fuss, no muss.
