Yak and Yeti looks great, I have to try there next time.

Woo to the single digit dance. I'm sure you and Tom will have a magical time.:banana::banana:

WOW WOW WOW! Those Yak pics looks AWESOME! I've never tried it, but you have convinced me! :cheer2:

Disney Planning is the best - unfortunately today it was back to business and we had a hell of a day! We had so much snow that some of our country roads had to get closed some time during the day. I was driving with a friend and there was so much snow that when I tried to park my car (to move over to hers as it was her day for driving) I got stuck! Tom had to shovel my car out later in the day! :scared1: NO fun! :sad2:

Oh dear, thats never fun. Hope you got sorted ok and wasn't stuck for too long. Lucky Tom was there to help too :)

Wow wow wow, that is one tasty looking meal at Yak and Yeti. I wanted to give it a try on our last trip but DF said that it got bad reviews and wasn't all that. Then this year I bought it up again and he said the same thing, so I compromised with a CS instead. But looking at your pics, it looks sooooo good. Loving the Appetisers and that Mango Pie looks awesome! :goodvibes

Real World= Bad
Yak and Yeti looked awesome the Pineapple sckwer dessart thing looked really yummy!! Thanks for sharign such great pics

I am so happy you enjoy my reports - Tom and I are so looking forward to trying a few new restaurants this time - one more week until our travel day! :thumbsup2

They are yummy, aren't they? I am not such a fan of their vanilla ice-cream, but you can't always win! ;) :lmao:

You definitely have to give it a try! We had a few other things, and they have really yum starters, I had honey chicken which was nice and the shoaxing steak and shrimp is just wonderful, but I always have to get the wontons for dessert! :lmao:

Okay, finally an update!

I am very sorry, but I just had too many test books to look at yesterday, went to bed at 12.30am and had to get up again at 6am :scared1: but I thought I'd make it up to you by doing two updates today!

But before I start that let me give you one more little update on our upcoming trip -

I CHECKED IN ONLINE TODAY!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo::dance3::woohoo: (We only arrive at CSR on Feb 14!)

So today Coral Reef it is!

Pan-seared Ahi Tuna with asparagus and baby carrots with red wine fish sauce

The Chocolate Wave - with brandied cherries

Hope you like it!

I get bored with vanilla ice cream. I never buy it at the store, because I always like to try whatever "limited edition" flavors there are.

I am not a big fan of Vanilla Ice-cream in the first place - I only "like" the really good stuff that is made with fresh vanilla and has the black specks in it! Otherwise, like you, I tend to buy seasonal flavours.

Fried Wontons with pineapple and honey???? Heaven!!!!

:cloud9: :thumbsup2 :goodvibes - soooooooooooooooo good!

Okay, here's yesterday's promised update - sorry - never got around to do it yesterday!

It's the Plaza at the Magic Kingdom!

002.jpg

Cheese Steak Sandwich - shaved beef, grilled with onions, mushrooms, red peppers, and white American cheese served on a hoagie roll - VERY good!

001.jpg

Tuna Salad Sandwich - tuna salad with lettuce and tomato on freshly baked croissant. The menu said it had a choice of fries and German potato salad - so I chose the salad and I did NOT like it at all. No taste - but the sandwich was just SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good! So I just left the salad and enjoyed the croissant sandwich!

003.jpg

The Plaza Restaurant Sundae - ice cream with hot fudge topped with whipped cream, chopped nuts and a cherry :cloud9:

004.jpg

Apple Charlotte, which I can't find on the menu any more - it was HUGE and warm and GOOD!!!!

Okay, off to find some other food photos for today's update!

Oooh yummy yum. Coral Reef dinner looks sooo good :)

Woo Hoo to checking in online. If you make requests on your reservation, would that be taken into consideration if you check in online?

Great food porn:woohoo:
Yak and Yeti looks great. We will have to give that place a try:banana:

I am glad you like the reviews! Yak and Yeti is definitely worth trying! :thumbsup2

excellent food porn- I am in drool mode! :)

Thank you! More to drool over coming up in a few more minutes ;)

CR is so special - with that big tank as a backdrop! Fun dining - good food!

This is my first time doing the online check in! I never thought about it the last few times.
There was no place to put in a request other than for a crib, fridge (thought there was one in the room anyway :confused3), ground floor and something else, which I have forgotten. On the other hand I think that if you put in a request when you did your booking I guess they will honour it IF they can. Whenever I put in a request when booking I was "granted" my wish (mainly for mansion house at POR, or higher floor, :))

Here is today's update!

Rose and Crown

Yum Drinks!

Summer060348.jpg

Welsh Dragon Peach Schnapps, Melon Liqueur, - Créme de Menthe, Orange Juice, and Pineapple Juice

Summer060349.jpg

English Rose - Beefeater Gin, Apricot Brandy, Sweet Vermouth, Pineapple Juice, Orange Juice, and Cranberry Juice

Summer060350.jpg

Potato and Leek Soup

Summer060352.jpg

Mushrooms in cream sauce (no longer on the menu)

Summer060351.jpg

Rolls and butter

Summer060353.jpg

Guinness Stew and a Parmesan "cookie" (no longer on the menu either)

Summer060354.jpg

Fish and Chips - Battered fresh Cod served with English Chips

Summer060355.jpg

Summer060356.jpg

Sticky Toffee Pudding - yummyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Summer060357.jpg

Chocolate Scotch Cake - with Chocolate Filling and Scotch Ganache served with Creme Anglaise

Only negative point - I wanted a cup of tea with my dessert and at 8.30pm they only had to offer English Breakfast Tea or herbal tea :scared1:! Next time I'll go there I'll bring some Fortnum and Mason Earl Grey! ;)

I really want to try the Welsh Dragon drink, but have never gotten around to it. That and a Boddington's beer.

I'm thinking of eating at Rose and Crown this fall, but I think not due to too many restaurants, too few days. That, and from what I've read Three Broomsticks at Universal is going to offer a similar menu, and I "have" to try that place.

What I'm really looking foward to this fall though, is a glass of butterbeer and/or pumpkin juice at the Three Broomsticks.
