has anyone seen dry dock pictures yet???

Nothing yet!!!!! Still hoping though!!!!!

Which cam would you go to, to see these pictures?

I thought that someone, somewhere, said that dry dock was in Norfolk, VA. Is that right?

Thanks

As far as I know, that is correct. Someone live in that area and is going to check it out this weekend to see if they can see the Magic.

The ship should be drydocked in Newport News, VA. That is where the shipbuilding companies are located. I do not live in the area anymore but maybe I can so a search to see if they have a webcam of some kind. This is an area where most of the Navy aircraft carriers are built, so they may not allow cameras. If I find out anything I will let you know.

After doing a lot of searching, I have not been able to come up with any webcams in the area. (I might not be looking for the right thing:scratchin) As I was searching I did remember that they have a big shipyard and drydock company in Norfolk also. It is called NORSHIPCO. I also checked the local paper but could not find anything there either. A lot of the news is still on the aftermath of Isabel, they were hit pretty hard. I will keep checking to see if I can find out anything and let you know.

Norfolk and the VA Beach area have a huge Navy presence... I'm doubting they want many webcams around :)

Another poster said there was a picture of the Disney Magic in the Wednesday edition of the Virginian Pilot newspaper. It wasn't on their website, however, the Wednesday edition is part of their archives which can be seen online. To view their archives you either have to be a subscriber, or pay to view. Any Virginian Pilot subscribers out there?

Took my 6 year-old daughter to the Portsmouth waterfront to see the Magic in drydock last night. She was lit up like a jewel, drawing a lot of attention from the locals. I will post a few pictures if I can get out tonight.

Recieved this email from my Mother in Law today:
"Thought you might enjoy the photos of the Disney Magic in dry dock. We sailed into Norfolk today and I couldn't believe my eyes! Here was this huge cruise ship that looked like a Disney ship. And, lo and behold, there she was--the Magic. Look at the one that has the crane lifting the satellite/radar dome! "

Can you believe it - she didn't know the Magic was in dry dock. What a great surprise for her!
