I'll be posting something very similar in my TR shortly, but thought it might make a good thread to start on the Aussie site.:mickeyjum

How do you keep the magic alive at home?
Do you play Disney music?
Do you look at your trip pics?

Me...I found the Disney magic this morning in my kitchen.

I bought what has ended up being pixiedust: during my trip. I can't even remember exactly how much they cost and think that a pair were sub $10. It was money worth spending!

We decided to sprinkle the pixiedust: this morning and decided that there was nothing like being directly in the frying pan (rather than the fire).

We poured some magic into the mix..

Made a wish and flipped it over for luck.

And voila! :tink: A plateful of Disney magic at home.

Oh, great thread :thumbsup2

I have Disney teatowels. I also have that pancake/egg ring (although it would be a fried edd) but don't use it very often.

We have Disney placemats from all over the place, Disnyland Paris, Disneyland, WDW. My son sets the table so he chooses the place mats and always chooses the Disney ones.

We have some photos around and we also have some cups, many of them are the free ones that the kids get with their meal. We have them from previous visits too so have quite a large collection of those and my son always uses disney cups.

My son has a disney keyring with his name on it on his school bag and I have my disney cookbooks on the shelf.

Just reading back most of our Disney magic is kept through food somehow and the kitchen :lmao: Maybe that's why I love the food porn photos and reviews and love planning our ADR's

OH, THEY LOOK SOOOO GOOD! YUM You have no idea how hungry that makes me, as I have just had my diet shake for breakfast and been for my hours exercise in the attempt to lose some weight before our holiday! (really for my health :lmao: but my excuse is the holiday)

Oh that is cruel and unusual punishment!!!!
How could you post a photo of glorious Mickey shaped pancakes?!?!?!?

I listen to Disney music EVERY day at work. I listen to Disney Music on my iphone on the way too and from work.

I have photos from Disney on my screensavers on all computers.

I also have Disney charm bracelets. Each Charm represents my favourite places and things.

I forgot to include how I plated it up....

And Queenie - I think this one may qualify for cruel and unusual. :rotfl: Love your charms (I mean your bracelet)!

I've had a pretty crummy week at work, so this morning when getting ready I put my hair up with a Disney hair band, it's not much, but it's helping me get through the last day

Oh, I love the pancake 'ring'...hmmmmm, haven't yet been but I keep inspired by visiting this site every night to see what is on the 'Picture of the day' thread.

Princess in Oz, I have this same pancake ring but I can't get my pancakes to come out so clean and tidy. What am I doing wrong? What's your secret for such perfect pancakes?

I just posted my recipe on my TR (yes, shameless self promotion here) because one of the US people said the same thing!

Ahhhh so Pancake Shake doesn't cut it :rotfl2:. Oh dear, I'll have to settle for shabby Mickey's I'm afraid LOL.

I've never tried Pancake Shake....but maybe if you add less water/milk and get the consistency a little bit thicker, it may work?? And I don't know if you put a dob of butter into the mould before adding the mix....but it may help with a clean extraction.
If you do try, let me know how it goes.

Glara, where is the "Picture of the Day" thread?

Well I must confess that I have used Shake a Pancake  I have made my own, but also use the Shake one too.

Do you add water or milk to the shake mix? If you add water or half water and half milk, try adding just milk as it makes the mixture a little thicker. If you are already doing that, try adding a little less so as PrincessInOz suggested the mixture will be a little thicker :thumbsup2
