Should be interesting to see how this goes. He's accused of possessing CP. Yesterday, his dad testified regarding Josh's previous molestation of 4 minors in the past - he claimed he "couldn't remember" much. He faces up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $250,000 on each count if convicted. From what I understand, the Feds have a pretty high conviction rate.

Jim Bob was ripped by the judge yesterday. Jury selection is today. Supposedly the evidence is very overwhelming where the CP found is one of the worst a FBI agent has seen.

Yet the defense of someone else having access to his login and his passwords is interesting. It can definitely create doubt. I only say that because at work, we’ve shared/share logins and password access handhelds, registers, and computers.

So for me as a juror I would have to actually see him on video surveillance with time stamp of him on the computer accessing CP. Like a cashier skimming from the register while under surveillance. Curious if this footage exists. Not saying he’s innocent, just hope the prosecution has a very strong case.

Idk the Actual facts versus the media version which I have no
Confidence in. I guess we’ll see just how much Actual Evidence they have and let a Jury decide. I .. mostly…have faith in them. And They seem to get things Correct.

I'm not really paying attention to the trial and I didn't know his defense was that someone had access to his login passwords. IIRC he admitted to molesting his sisters so yeah I don't believe that he wasn't interested in CP and it was someone else that did it. He's a perv.

I haven't read anything about the trial so maybe this has been discussed, but I wonder if the sister molestation can even come into the trial since it happened when he was a minor.

The Feds are trying to have it included. Joshs' lawyers are trying to get some testimony by Bobye Holt thrown out over clergy privilege (which is a joke because women aren't allowed to hold clergy positions in said 'church'), but the judge hasn't ruled yet. Some of that is just sick, touching one of his sisters while reading her the Bible.

This family is sick, JB "can't recall" his OWN DAUGHTERS being molested?! He also tried to object what he was being asked while on the stand yesterday. I hope he rots in hell.

I am very interested in this case. I’ll admit to watching the early episodes of their show. But it quickly became evident that the girls were being denied an education and required to be the maids of the family. The mother was nothing but a wet nurse. Then move on to the next baby. They subjected their kids to the eyes of the nation watching their dysfunction but being completely unaware of how wrong their family was.

I saw one of the potential jurors was dismissed because they were the FATHER IN LAW of a Duggar. How the heck did they even make it that far in the jury selection process?! I guess the judge was flabbergasted, lol.

It doesn’t surprise me. When I report for jury duty, whether federal or county, I have no idea which trial it will be for, and the first question once in the courtroom is whether any of us know the defendant or attorneys personally. It sounds like that is what happened here. Now, if they sat through the entire jury selection process, and then someone found out they were related to the defendant, I would question it. I haven’t heard that there was any kind of venue change, so the odds of an in-law, with a different name, showing up in the jury pool is likely in such a large family.

I feel sorry for the jury and wish he would have just taken responsibility for his actions and spared them having to hear about, or worse, the evidence in the case.
