If you have a standard GV, both of which are in the same location, the trip is somewhat long, about 7 minutes to a pool gate. If you have a savanna view GV, which are located throughout the buildingt, the trip can be anywhere from less than 3 minutes to over 10 minutes. The pool is located on the north wing of Kidani (it has a north and south wing; in the map cited to above, the north wing is the left side of the map; the standard GVs are located right near the Pumba elevator which is at the red AED sign on the map between the sixth and seventh pods/building units from the lobby). The Kidani building is about 2/3 mile long and there are GVs on the end of both wings. The longest trip to a pool gate would be from those GVs on the end of the south wing (just under 1/2 mile). (To help in understanding distance, look at the map and number of pods; each of those pods plus the walkway in between is 75 to 80 yards in length).
Probably too late to put in a request if you have savanna view, but the ideal request for getting close to the pool, and within striking distance of the lobby and bus station, is to request a GV close to the Rafiki elevator which is located on that map in the same place as the red AED sign on the north wing between the second and third pods from the lobby). Down that elevator to the ground/parking lot floor and then out to the trail that leads to a pool gate, provides the shortest possible walk from the building to a pool gate.
