Vicodin and booze. It worked for Brett Favre back in the 90s, so it's a time-tested solution.
Good luck, CJ. Has Crash been working on her strength training? Maybe she can drag you over the finish line?
yeah I'm familiar with it. with it being that long you may end up needing a splint to wear at night to keep everything stretched. strassburg socks can be worn at night and can decrease recovery time by a lot. I've done kinesio tape on patients with this and half think it helps and the other half don't really notice a big difference. You can find lots of youtube videos that will teach you how if you are interested in trying that. Not sure what all you have tried but those are some things I know have helped others. Good luck and if I can be of any assistance let me know.
I like it. Can you get a hold of Favre's old suppliers?
A lot of people look at me cross-eyed when I explain it. Thanks for the suggestions Travis. Tried the splints for a long time and a) Didn't work and b) Couldn't sleep at all (versus sleeping a little now). Also a lot of other things with little result. Did not think of Kinesio tape and will give it a try. The symptoms though are atypical of Plantar injuries. The heal and feet rarely hurt but the Achilles and the calf tighten up very easily. Started as the byproduct of a severe leg infection and a long hospital stay. if you can think of anything I am willing to try it.
Looks like you can look up your bib # now (unofficially). I'm 44262 but I'm not sure which corral that will relate to.

Hey guys - I'm seeing on Facebook that these are unofficial waivers and should not be printed. runDisney is still working on them.
Well look at you. Why it seems like just yesterday you were a novice and didn't even have the sense to get out of the way of trucks during your training runs. Now here you are giving advice. You're a genuine runner for sure now.Yes. In a few days runDisney will post the corral breakdown on their website. So you actually know what corral your in before you check in at the expo? well, since I didn't submit a 10k time we can be assured that 47197 and all those around it will be in the last corral LOL

And you know how long those lines get .Last corral isn't so bad. Sure you miss rope drop, but you get the portapotties all to yourself.
Or you could just run it with her ...Houston, we have a problem. Checked the site and they have me registered for the Dopey, not the Pirate Princess. I know I received emails confirming her for the races so now I need to dig them up. Glad I checked, thanks Justin.
What can I say - I had a good coach.Well look at you. Why it seems like just yesterday you were a novice and didn't even have the sense to get out of the way of trucks during your training runs. Now here you are giving advice. You're a genuine runner for sure now.

That reminds me of another nugget of advice I'm about to drop on you guys. And, yes, this is advice #2 for today - bring your own toilet paper to the start of the race. The portapotties will be all out by the time you get to them.

Maybe I've turned over a new leaf.I just wanted to point out that you said, "nugget", "drop", "#2", and "toilet paper" all in the same sentence without getting gross. Well done.
Huh? You mean you can't wipe like this?

Just make sure the leaf doesn't look like this:Maybe I've turned over a new leaf.
Also, you can use a leaf to wipe your butt if you need to.
Hey, if the ladies can pop a squat, men should be able to relieve themselves. I mean the race instructions were to hydrate hydrate hydrate. It was 70 degrees. You can also take a wizz in the woods by mile 3. I've seen it done before.
