Hi everyone, I was directed to this group by a neighbor as we are planning a trip to Disney in January 2023 and have never rented dvc points before! Anxious to learn about this and it’s benefits!

If you are looking at the value or club studios, they are probably already sold out. But other options should be available.
To clarify what Tigger said above, renting a points stay does not make you a DVC member with regards to discounts and such. But it is a very different experience than renting from Disney directly.
Studios at AKV only have 1 queen bed and 1 pullout sofa bed. 1BR villas in the Kidani building have 2 bathrooms (2BR villas have 3). AKL (Jambo House) villas are all on the 5th floor and there's no extra bathroom.
DVC rentals often require payment upfront with no option to cancel.
Just a few things to be aware of...
A quick question for anyone. We got a booking at AKV and are very excited. How far out can I start booking things like dining options? Can I still book rides and experiences with not having tickets yet?
