No town crier at Liberty Tree Tavern?

I had heard that at liberty tree Tavern, guess were announced by a Towncrier. I recently read that that was discontinued a few years ago. Is that correct? Is that no longer a thing?

If so, too bad. That sounded like fun!

We ate there Sept of 2014 (i know, not terribly recent) but we were cried upon before we were escorted to our table.

Lol, my mother is not a fan, she finds it strange they call out your name and home city. Weirds her out that everyone knows our name and home town. I keep telling her no one is listening or cares.

It isn't a specific town crier. It is the host or hostess who seats you that calls out your name in town crier fashion. "Here Ye, here ye, now seating the XXX family from the great state of....".

the only place I've seen a costumed town crier is out in front of Columbia Harbor House. That could mean the same one does show up in LTT but not all the time.

Our city is the same name as our state, I guess we don't pay attention well. Just heard New York.
