Fingers crossed, everyone!

It’s gotta be true because our holiday season cannot be messed with! 🎄🎄🎄 I might just put the tree up in October for good luck.

We decided to take a splurge and change over to Paradise Pier. As the reopening continues to get pushed out I feel stating onsite increases our chances for park days. Crossing fingers!

You can take me off of the 4-9th dates. We are keeping our later reservation for now. I'm getting a little worried the longer the closure goes. I really want to get back to DL like all of the rest of you on here. I can't wait to eventually walk under the RR bridge and into my favorite place.

Very nice! I've updated your hotel. I agree...on-site reservations will probably increase your park chances, and hopefully, you'll have a less crowded experience at security, as well.

Same here...I'd like the longest possible buffer to watch how things are going at the parks. I've removed your earlier dates from the list.

Hey all. Just a reminder to check your hotel rates! I just checked and ours dropped at Embassy Suites South to $95 each night. Saved us $75 total. I booked January as well at $79 per night at the same hotel, just in case December is still messed up. Hopefully it's not though as we haven't been during Christmas since my daughter's 1st birthday. This will be her 8th birthday. Way too long between 🎄 visits.

From the Speculation Superthread:
We had a reservation for Courtyard Theme Park entrance the beginning of December and got this in an email this afternoon:

"Our records indicate that you have a reservation at the Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance. Please be aware that the hotel will be temporarily closing through December 17, 2020 and your reservation has been canceled."

Picture this, a reservation that has no beginning and no end and we find ourselves transported to a month...unlike any other month...it's December 2020 and you're still in the reservation twilight zone...

We will be at the GCH December 18-21, 2020. We hope to see you there...
Our reservation history for this trip: April - June - July - September - December....maybe this one will stick?

Mike

Welcome to the group! I'm sincerely hoping this is the trip that sticks for many of us that have cancelled/rescheduled trips. 🤞

The CM I spoke to assured me that those with resort packages would be first in line. I was concerned about that, but she said they are aware that those with the resort packages are traveling and have booked rooms and tickets, and we do not need to be worried. She said she has over twenty years of experience, and she does not say something unless she knows it is accurate. She cautioned me on a lot of the rumors out there. :)
I certainly hope she is, indeed, a cast member in the loop.

Not sure if I want to read too much into this, but I had a reservation at Courtyard Theme Park Entrance for Dec 16-23. The hotel emailed me today and said they are closed from NOW until Dec 17th and cancelled my reservation. I was annoyed they cancelled it when there is only one night in question. I wonder if they think Disneyland will be closed until Dec 17th??

Sure seems like they could/should have given you an option to book at one of the nearby Marriott properties. Open or not the business probably did the math and risk and said it's just not worth reopening at this time, even if Disneyland opens by December.

See post #150 above. This is already being discussed on the Speculation Superthread. It's not causing much ruffling of feathers over there.
