How many hours would you have to work to make $10 a day. I am trying to make a realistic goal to shoot for, but not sure how realistic it really is. How much do you guys make a day, and how many hours do you put in?

Thanks!

I have to do this before I can answer questions?

No, but you will get more questions if you do. When the system isn't overloaded, you will only get specialist questions (the ones where you can see the question before you accept it) and you have to have categories entered to get those. If you stick to what you really know, you will be able to answer those questions more quickly.

When the system is super busy, you will get generalist questions and then it doesn't matter if you have catergories entered.

I am pretty much back-to-back with questions all day. If you aren't, you need to enter categories.

I only have a $5 day goal and I can usually do that in an hour if I really buckle down and don't allow myself to get distracted with email, etc. In reality, I tend to log in, answer about 10 questions, surf the internet, answer a couple questions, do some work, and so on. I find it pretty easy to make $5 and, when I needed to pay off some debt, it wasn't that hard to make it to $10 or more.

I am buckled down, but also searching online and checking email and stuff b/c I have like 2-3 minutes before questions. When I hear the doorbell, I answer the question though. I guess I have to pick my categories!

How do I enter categories? I have a long lag before questions.

There are a couple of great threads in the ChaCha forums about setting up categories. I don't think I should link to them here, but you should be able to find them. The most important thing to remember is to be specific. For example, under "basketball" I have terms like final four, march, game, start, channel, time, begin, and playing. I also listed the top 20 seeds in the tourny. You want to think of the words an IS will use to answer a question and include those in your categories. I've been getting a lot of "When does Duke play and what time does the game start?" type of questions. The words Duke, play, time, game, and start are all in my category, so those questions are directed to me.

you take the first test, if you passed they invite you to become a guide, then you go through the big test after you have completed all the courses at search u. Good luck, my goals 1. make enough this week for 4 refillable mugs, next week 3 mugs. after that I hope to pay for a TIW card, kinda fun really. Take care now-Alex

I guess that is what had me confused. I did not see or hear anything online about a second set of tests. Just that there would be questions at the end of each course to answer. My friend who refered me said she never had a second set as well. There isn't a time frame on getting thru the courses on Search U is there?

After you complete the training videos, you will need to log into universe.chacha.com. The first time you log in you download the chacha toolbar. You will need to close and reopen foxfire. When you enter again the 10 question readiness test should start. You will be told by email if you pass that test and can start working. DH took the test on Monday and we are both checking email constantly to see if he passed.

The average is 30 Q an hour. So at an average .12 per question, $10 a day would be 83 questions, so about 2.5 hours. (Hey this was a math question...I should've made .20).

Thanks for that info. I do not recall seeing/hearing any of that when I started the videos.

I've been trying for days now to register to become a guide on chacha. Everytime I try, it won't let me put in a day for my birthdate. Any ideas?

YIPPIE Dh just got the email that he passed and is ready to earn money. He logged in at lunch time and instantly started getting questions. He had to decline them since he was on his lunch break at work, but I am so excited. I can not wait for him to get home and start chacha'ng.....

Today is my first day. The kids were both away for a few hours. I logged on for 2 hours and only got 12 questions. How do I get more?? IT doesn't seem worth it for $1.50 a day.

Thanks!

I just got approved and logged in. I've been B2B since I started. There are some really hard questions! Have you set up your categories and interests?

I just got accepted as a guide Monday. I had the same question 3 times yesterday asked in different forms. I knew what the answer was without having to search. Is there anyway you can give an answer without a source?
TIA!

It's been slow today. I'm usually back to back and definitely not today. It will pick up tonight, it always picks up at night when the teens get home and are bored.

Nope, you always have to have a source. You can use the same source if you get a question that you already had. Also try Clippings, a real time saver.

I've been rejected as a guide :confused3 I answered all the questions on my test, but apparently my answers weren't up to par. Some of them were really tough to find, but I did.

DH on the other hand passed so at least we have 1 guide in our family. I told him to ChaCha us to some free disney passes. ChaCha for now!
