Polynesian - just returned

We just returned from our 35th Wedding Anniversary trip. Our original reservation was for the Caribbean Beach Resort but because of the rehab that was going to be going on there, we took the up-grade to the Polynesian. We have stayed at many of the 'on-site resorts' but not at the Polynesian. Our room was ready when we arrived - 1:00 p.m. We were surprised to have a view of the lagoon-marina area!! Later in the day when we returned to the room - there was a chilled bottle of champagne along with a cheese & fruit platter waiting for us - along with a 'congratulations card' from Mickey & Minnie!!! We found the resort & cast members very nice!! We enjoyed our 'wine & dine' day around EPCOT for the Food & Wine Festival. We had fun at MNSSHP on the 27th - lots of cute costumes. Enjoyed Cirque Du Soleil - well worth the money!! We didn't think that it was very crowded - we either walked on or used the fastpass for what ever we wanted to go on. It was hot & humid - but now that we are back to Minnesota with the tempurature in the 30's, the 90º temps would feel good!!! It was a great relaxing vacation. We are now looking forward to our return trip in December with 2 of our grandchildren - we will be staying at the All Star Music!! ºoº

Congratulations on your anniversary! It sounds like you had a great trip! DH and I will be staying at the Polynesian in December so I love reading about any posts on that resort. Thanks for sharing. Happy 35th Anniversary!

I'm glad you enjoyed the Poly, and how wonderful to spend your anniversary there. We are also going to the Poly for the first time in Jan. and will be celebrating an anniversary. Of course ours is only 16 years 35.....thats amazing

That must have been a special surprise. It sounds like the staff at the Poly took good care of you
