Pools at VGF and BLT?

Hi all, we are staying at VGF and BLT in March - was wondering about the pools in each… are they heated? Will it be comfortable to swim or be in the splash zones in early to mid March? Also, which pool is better in your opinions? Thanks in advance!

Unless there is a cold front, March will be fine to swim. All Disney pools are heated.

IMO the pools at the Grand Floridian are much better overall than those at BLT/contemporary, but others may disagree.

The Floridian pools are much larger then the blt pool. The pool is so small you end up falling over each other. Not really much fun... Also remember if staying at blt you can also use the pools at the Contemporary.

The BLT pool has a slide but it is not the size of a feature pool. It is size wise between a quiet pool and a feature pool. The Contemporary pools are quite large and has a 17' slide.

GF has a large feature pool without a side and a smaller pool called the Beach pool, that is slightly smaller than the one at BLT and it has a slide. The Beach Pool is right next door to the VGF. Also the water play area for the little ones at Gf is very nice and is just beyond the beach pool.

The two pools at GF and the BLT pool are zero entry pools. CR has a separate kiddie pool.

I agree about the BLT pool- it can get crowded quickly- we wound up using the main pools at the Contemporary often during June vac. BLT pool does have a cool slide-- we also enjoyed pool hopping over to VWL
