put on the thinking caps for cheap but not cooking meal suggestions please!

We discovered the Orlando Ale House in Lake Buena Vista in Feb. 03. Sandwiches, pizza are very good and you can get a steak for $9.95 or a filet mignon for $12.95 with salad and potato. They have Foster's for $1.00, too. This is where we went to balance out the more expensive nights for our August trip. DH likes it very much and we will definitely be going there on our next trip.

With drinks and childs meal we spent maybe $35 or so per meal - and the steaks were the more expensive items on the menu.

Enjoy! :smooth:

I have a couple of favorite "cheap" places. Sweet Tomatoes is one of them :).

I also like the NY China Buffet:

It has all-you-can-eat CRAB LEGS at dinner. Yum! All for $12.95 per adult. Discount coupons are usually available in the standard coupon books.

Sonny's BBQ is also on our short list:

I recall the prices being less than $10 each and the food is great!

I DO NOT recommend the Commisary at MGM. I have never had a good meal there :(. Yuck!

I needed to find a few offsite restaurants and after checking out this thread, I'll be trying Sweet Tomatoes. Looks good.

There are lots of places on 192. If you take 192 West there is a Bob Evans as soon as you turn on to 192. It is the Midwest's version of the Cracker Barrel. We ate there in Aug and it is very reasonable. There are many others on 192 but that is the one we ate at.

The Plaza Restaurant at the MK had giant sandwiches that can be easily shared between two adults with enough room to share an ice cream dessert. I shared a Club Sandwich with my niece last year. Then we shared the brownie sundae.

these actually started inOhio and my husband fluctuates between CB and BE as his "must- eat- breakfast -now!" places:)

Just an update... we tried the CiCi's Pizza last Friday, and it was great! It was even better than the one we have here at home. We had been eating so many expensive meals, that this was a nice break at $5 a person. My dh kept wanting to go back there the rest of the trip!

I highly recommend it, and it is very close to DTD! ;)
