not an answer to your question but I would avoid spending any time in Waikiki whatsoever. It isn't Hawaii.
Sorry - Waikiki
is Hawaii. So is Ko’Olina, and Manoa, and Kailua. It may not be your image of Hawaii, but it more accurately represents Hawaii than the resorts in Ko’Olina.
Waikiki has some great aspects to it. It is much more of a modern city, with all of the positives and negatives that go with that. If you want to have great food, walk on an amazing beach at sunset, do some wonderful shopping (window or otherwise),staying in Waikiki will be great. It’s also a good base of operations - most of the sights to see are much closer to Waikiki than to Ko’olina.
If you want to get away from it all, and just relax at a resort, Aulani’s wonderful. I think breaking it up is a good idea, depending on what you’re looking for.
sorry, not very familiar with making reservations. Hopefully someone can point you in the right direction.
While in Waikiki, I’d recommend many trips for Malasadas (Leonard’s on Kapahulu), and shave ice (Waiola Shave Ice on Waiola, or near Leonard’s). And try some Local food, either traditional (Ono Hawaiian Foods or Helena’s), or modern (MW Restaurant). Drinks at the Royal Hawaiian or Dukes. If they’re still doing it, Sunsets on the Beach is fun - movies, food stands, live music, and sand between your toes.
Have a great cruise, and a great stay!
