Just calculate 10-14 BGs per hour and go enjoy things in the parks. So when you join a boarding group on your app, does it give you any type of time frame so you can do other things if you have a long wait?
No it doesn't. But once your bg is called you have 2 hours to go backSo when you join a boarding group on your app, does it give you any type of time frame so you can do other things if you have a long wait?
how far do you "back out"? All the way back to the main app screen, or just back to the screen that has "my status" and "join BG"?Several different strategies. I have an android, so your steps may be slightly different. When you open MDE there is a find out more button under ROTR BG box. When. You press that it brings you to a screen with 2 buttons. Join a BG and My Status. You can back out to home at this point and keep hitting the find out more button to refresh the button. You can hit the my status button and that brings you to another screen with join BG. You can also close out app and reopen continuously.
Personally I hit my status...then back out and repeat until one of the Join BG buttons lights up.
After pressing the "Find Out More" button, if the "Join Boarding Group" button is greyed out, press the "<" at the top left of the screen, and then press the "Find Out More" button again. That will refresh the "Current Land Status/Now Boarding" screen. (It would be nice if Disney just added a "refresh" button on the status page). I'm not convinced that closing/restarting the app actually does anything different/better than what is accomplished by this method.how far do you "back out"? When Studios makes their last BG announcement, they are calculating that they will be able to push through a specific BG and then close RotR. To date, they haven’t accommodated any other BGs beyond their final ‘push through’ BG.I just got a notification my BG 131 will not be accommodated today (boo). Any chance I should just stick around and hope it comes up?
Thx for posting - what time did you arrive to DHS today?Got in at 6:00. BG 30.
What time did you arrive to DHS and get in line to enter?Got in at about 6:05.. BG 96.

We arrived this morning at about 6am and with a brisk walk from the car we were in at about 6:10. Posted earlier that we were in at 6:05 but that was inaccurate. We have BG 92.Any updated experience with the bags vs. no-bags security queues? I plan to come next month with no bags, but is it important to stay alert for just-opened security queues that you can quickly scoot over to? Someone mentioned upthread that on one day at least, there was a huge mass of people waiting for security and it wasn't entirely clear what was going on. (Or maybe it was the tapstiles....memory has faded.)
Make that 96..We arrived this morning at about 6am and with a brisk walk from the car we were in at about 6:10. Posted earlier that we were in at 6:05 but that was inaccurate. We have BG 92.
I used this method, starting the refresh process 2 minutes before 7 (opening time) and got BG 17. I did not use WiFi, used my T-mobile data and my Motorola Android. After pressing the "Find Out More" button, if the "Join Boarding Group" button is greyed out, press the "<" at the top left of the screen, and then press the "Find Out More" button again. Just to "my status" and "join bg".how far do you "back out"? All the way back to the main app screen, or just back to the screen that has "my status" and "join BG"?
Hi I am sorry but I am a bit confused with this boarding group process, so please have patience if asked already.. during my stay the park opening time is 7am, so am I to understand that I can only get a boarding pass at the official opening time? if that is the case why would I arrive earlier. Now do I hit my disney prk app after I arrive or as soon as I am close, or when I enter the park???? Any guidance or direction you can give will be greatly appreciated my son really wants to ride this. TIA!!
You would want to arrive at least 30 minutes or more before scheduled park opening ( up to an hour) just to assure you are in the park a few minutes before scheduled opening. Traffic, bus schedules, long lines at security checkin, and at the park entry tapstiles can slow your entry. So it’s good to get there early. Everyone that wants to ride must be inside the park in order for you to get a boarding group. On average you will likely be allowed into the park about a half hour early, then held on Hollywood Blvd. The boarding group process on the Ap will open at scheduled opening and seconds matter if you want an early boarding group and all regular boarding groups will be assigned rather quickly.Hi I am sorry but I am a bit confused with this boarding group process, so please have patience if asked already.. during my stay the park opening time is 7am, so am I to understand that I can only get a boarding pass at the official opening time? if that is the case why would I arrive earlier.
