Post the company name so we know who to avoid using.
Old republic title is their name no idea of the contact information for them though.
The resale company is basically done. You will not hear from them unless you ask them a question specifically.
If you have any problems at this point, the title company is the one you want to talk to. You should have been in contact with the title company agent at some point. You probably have an email from them somewhere. If not, the broker should be able to tell you who it is.
How did it work out/resolve itself?Same issue that we had with Fidelity, we used them once, never again.
I was told the name by the broker that is it. There has been no contact.
Hmm, strange. The title company is the one who takes the deposit. They must have contacted you at some point to take your money. I received a "welcome letter" from our agent at the title company about 3 days after signing the initial contract. From then on I contacted her for basically everything.
Do you have an escrow number? If you give the escrow number to the title company, they should be able to tell you who is in charge of your account, or probably even your name. Or if you search your old emails and look for one from Old Republic Title and see who sent it.
What should happen after passing ROFR is estoppel. After Disney issues the estoppel, the title company should send you the closing documents. I assume the title company is waiting for Disney, or they have the paperwork but are just not on top of things.
Edit: another place to look would be the initial package you received from Fidelity, which should have had instructions on where to send the deposit. We used two different brokers and they both had the Title Company agent's contact info in that packet.
The contract I signed with fidelity required a credit card number with a release to charge it 1500 upon receipt of the contract by fidelity. My credit card was charged 4 weeks ago. I am pulling that form now.
Ok tracked down the title company from that form and emailed their first in command.Ah, credit card wasn't an option for us. We had to use check or cashiers check both times, so I had to physically send a check to the title company through snail mail both times.
Same issue that we had with Fidelity, we used them once, never again.
any updates on this?
After i started emailing the owner of the closing company the documents arrived in my email two days later.
