Rides breaking down at alarming rate

So if you get a LL for Remy and it breaks down during your time, it turns into an anytime LL? Or is that only for the purchase of the ILL rides?

Yes, you can use it on Remy or any other ride but GOTG currently I think.

Happened to break down on us when in line first thing in the morning our last trip, we were right at Gusteus in the ride queue. Worked out well though, ride came back up pretty quick after we got out, so jump in line standby to ride it with minimal wait, then did anytime LL right after to immediately ride it a second time.

Yes, only thing excluded is ill rides. No clue what they do for those if it’s down when your turn as we’ve not done those yet.

Typically you get a redemption pass that is only valid for that ride if you haven’t entered the LL yet.

Tron went down the other day when I was waiting for the alternate seating. They kept everyone in the loading area for nearly an hour before escorting us out and giving a recovery pass good for any LL at MK except for 7DMT. I guess they really dislike giving recovery at Tron because it’s good for the rest of the day and they probably fear that many will wait until nighttime to come back.

Ya I was thinking ILL rides would get a pass as well to come back anytime during the day.

We were there from August 20-26th

Day 1 -MK- no noticible closures
Day 2- HS - No noticible closures
Day 3- Epcot- Frozen down for most of morning
Day 4- Animal Kingdom- no noticeable closues
Day 5 - Epcot- Frozen down servetal times throughout the day- Never made it on.
Day 6 - MK- Pirates down most of the day, Jungle cruise down majority of the morning, Space Mountain down for most of the day ( we got stuck on it)

The chap at guest relations kindly added a LL for Space mountain to ride anytime, we walked over there (from POTC) and guess what…Space Mountain was down!! We hung around but it never reopened so left the park!!

This is not quite correct. We had a number of recover LLs for MK last week but they were not valid for all non-ILL$ rides. They were good for most but I noticed Space Mountain was excluded.

When I got an anytime ILL after MMRR went down there were a few notable exclusions, forget the whole list but Tower and Slinky were on it. Tower seemed surprising to me, had been thinking I would use it on that before they said I couldn’t and at that point it was like “well what CAN i use this on?” RnRC was still being refurbed, wouldn’t have been surprised if that would be on the list of exclusions too.

I agree but I don't see that happening soon. OLC is paying for that Space Mountain overhaul whereas Disney would have to pay for it in the US parks.

Well if we get a a anytime replacement LL or ILL, I'm hoping we can just use it on the same ride later in the day? Good reason to get the LLs you want the most early as possible? And purchase any ILL with a morning timeframe?

Hi,

We are here staying at AKL at the moment with our daughter and her boyfriend who is a first time visitor to Florida and the parks so we were really excited to show him the amazing rides here that we’ve been enjoying for many years but TBH its been a bit of a let down with ride closures/construction and rides not working properly!
At MK BTMRR broke down and we were escorted from the ride, Space mountain was down from lunchtime as well, on to AK yesterday where we paid for LL FOR Flight of Passage, ride crashed during the pre show so we had to leave the room and wait 10mins for a new ride area but once seated 3 out of 4 of our bikes/chairs had no working water effect which was disappointing, onto Tough to be a bug, no scent from Stink Bug and all of our seats on the bench had no working effects at all! We complained at guest services and were refunded the LL price which was nice.
Last night we were at DS for Moonlight Magic and got onto RoTR with a walk on, obviously the Turbo lasers still not working but the animatronics of Kylo Ren/Gen Hux on the bridge were both dead and not moving at all!
Over all not a good look at the parks and really notocing the lack of maintenance all around!

The last time I saw the cannons on Rise working was September 2021. They've been broken ever since and I expect it to be that way similar to the Yeti on Everest.

But yeah, I agree that ride maintenance is really bad and has been bad for years now. So many rides need some serious TLC and I believe that Disney doesn't want to deal with guests complaining about rides being closed for an extended period of time, so they keep them open in not so great condition.

Meant the large cannons thst used to move back and forth as you pass under them, only ever worked once when we first rode!

Welcome to the New Disney! Where you pay outlandish prices, but when rides are down or not working 100% you don't see any discounts or refunds for your tickets or the add-on's. IMHO Disney is off it's A game and it has has been this way since before Covid and from all reports it's not getting any better. Disney really shot itself in the foot when it terminated so many imagineers during Covid.
