My mom will be accompanying us to Universal Studios this summer. Although she is 73 years "young" she is extemely fit and able to get around quiet well. [spends 3 hours a day working out at the gym!]. She doesn't however enjoy thrill rides. Is it worth the price of admission to take her? What is there for her to do there?

18 more days until vacation!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

There's a LOT for her to do. She doesn't like "thrill rides" persay. But what does that incorporate? Roller coasters? Big drops? Simulators?

At USF, you have Jaws, Earthquake, Shrek, Jimmy Neutron, Woody's Coaster, MIB, (simulator, but has stationary seating available), Twister, BTTF (simulator, very bumpy), T2, plus all the other shows.

At IOA: Spider-Man (must do!), Popeye & Blutos (river rapids, no drops, just lots of water), Storm Force Accelatron,, Flying Unicorn all of Suess Landing, etc.

None of those listed have big drops. The Woody Coaster and Flying Unicorn have no major drops, but tUnicorn has rough brakes at the end.

My grandmother could spend all day watching the shows at Universal. She is 75-year old, and can't do many rough rides. She LOVED watching Street Breakz, Blues Brothers, Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue, Extreme Ghostbusters, and the Horror Makeup Show (the main shows at Universal, anyway). We did take her on MIB, which she liked a'ight (but only went on once). We passed on BTTF because we knew she shouldn't ride it. But she enjoyed Earthquake a lot, and rode stationary seating at Jimmy Neutron and Shrek, just so she could be with the family. :)

She even mentioned about going back (but she, being the sweetie she is, said she knew how expensive it was, so didn't want to ask). We got her an annual pass for Mother's Day, and are taking her back this weekend. She'll go to IOA for the first time, which she'd be very limited as to what she can do, we want her to experience the excellent theming of the place. Plus, see the Mystical Fountain!! ;)

However, your mom seems very active, and so she wouldn't have limitations like my grandmother, so definitely do Spiderman at IOA. And the shows!! Sooooo do the shows!!
