Cute dress o Allie. My eye was drawn to the picture before reading the comments - very sweet of them to buy it and awesome that she wanted to wear it right away.
She actually picked out that dress during our trip a year ago. We thought Melissa would be able to sew one for her and save some money, but when it didn't get don in a year we figured it might be worth buying it, and Grandma and Grandpa were looking for something special for her birthday so it worked out perfectly.
Did he follow through?
Yes, I got rid of two or three old polos, but they weren't Disney ones, so I increased the ratio of Disney ones which is cool.
What a great last night in the cabins!
It was fun, and I'm glad that we got to hang out and enjoy it for a while.
You didn’t miss too much for the DCA Moonlight Magic event. The lines were very, VERY long all night.
We saw pictures and video that showed it looked to be pretty crazy. We still would have liked to be there, but we're glad we didn't try it.
Also, my son loves all things Japan and steak so after reading your reviews of Teppan Edo, we’re adding it to our plans for next July! Woohoo!!
That's great, he should enjoy it. I do recommend the filet over the regular steak that comes in the combinations, and the price is comparable you just only get steak instead of steak and chicken or shrimp. In my experience though it is so worth it. Mmm, I want that for dinner.
I love the fireworks view from your cabin. It looks like it might be a better view than the one from Geyser Point. I’m glad some of you got to see it.
We were surprised at how good the view is. Since the cabins wrap around the shoreline, the view is less obstructed than from Geyser Point. This was a definite perk of this cabin being a little further from Geyser Point.
When we saw you Thursday afternoon you both seemed to prefer staying in the dedicated two bedroom villa. But after breakfast waffles the next morning, pizza delivered to the cabin for dinner and a great view of the electric water pageant and fireworks, did you fall in love a little more with the cabin?
Those were awesome things about the cabin, and the view really is exceptional, but overall we still preferred the two bedroom. Having more bedroom space and being right in the main building are really nice. The hot tub was another nice thing only in the cabin, but it was a bit of a pain to use because it still involves changing into swim clothes and taking a shower after, so it really only saved the walk down to the pool. Having it right there meant the kids were always asking to get in it though.
Don't get us wrong, we loved the cabin and would stay there again, but it is hard to overcome the fact that it is over double the point cost per night of the two bedroom and does have some drawbacks.
I love Allie’s dress. She looks adorable in it. I remember all the cute clothes Melissa made for her and this reminds me of those days.
That is one of the reasons we didn't buy the dress last year, since we thought Melissa might be able to sew her one, but she didn't have time and it worked out to just get the Disney one. It does have that cute homemade look that Allie is so cute in.
We have played the Sorcerers game in Magic Kingdom but have never tried the Epcot game. Using your smartphone would make it so much easier to play. Is it hard to learn?
The Perry game at Epcot was super easy, and Allie says it was really fun. We haven't done the one at Magic Kingdom but may give it a try next time. I like how it is super easy to do as much or as little as you want with the Epcot game. You can do any of the pavilions individually, in any order, so that was nice.
The store in Japan is always fun to go through. We also like the museum that they have there. And Kali Gorilla is a family favorite.
Yes, the Japan store is probably our favorite in Epcot. Kaki Gori is yummy, but is tough to convince auto-correct to agree with.
Have a happy Thanksgiving. We have 16 people coming over tomorrow so I won’t be back until Friday.
Have a great Thanksgiving! We will miss having a big group dinner with our friends and family out in the desert, but Allie and I are going to make ham and mashed potatoes, so that should be fun. We will cook for Melissa for a change.
