Staying at Riviera beginning of March. Epcot has early open at 8:30. What time should I be in line for the skyliner to have a good spot for rope drop?

Wow, is it really that packed at the back entrance? We are transferring from SSR to Riveria on the day of our planned trip to Epcot and thought the back entrance would be much less crowded than front. Hearing that you should be on skyliner by 7am for 8:30 park opening at back entrance is a shock.

It’s all a trade off, right? You can wait at the front of the line for the Skyliner, sleep in 30 minutes more and wait at the back of the line for the Skyliner, or sleep in 30 minutes more and wait at the back of the line for whatever ride you pick. But between the Skyliner and security and tickets and the actual ride line, there’s a lot of lines, and you have to wake up VERY early to be at the front of all of them.

Remember that guests from RIV, CBR, Pop and AoA resorts all come via Skyliner to Epcot and use the IG (there is no Disney transportation from those resorts to the front of Epcot). Add in the guests from BW Inn & Villas, Yacht & Beach, and Swan/Dolphin/Reserve who also enter there, and yes, it can really be packed at the back entrance, just with guests who are expected to enter there. Add in some who take rideshare to Swan/Dolphin or drive to DHS to park and take boat or Skyliner, etc. to be closer to Remy, and….
