The AP entrance has been the most unexpected perk!I arrived around 9:30 for a fun filled day at Animal Kingdom. One of my favourite things about having an AP is the dedicated AP entrance at many of the parks. It's such a timesaver on a busy day!
So cute!!!Soon it was my turn to visit with the boys and it was another hilarious interaction! Could they be any cuter in their dinosaur outfits?
I love EE and didn't get a chance to experience the full ride last summer, after it broke down when we were up by the Yeti. The line was moving along nicely at first and then stopped still. Sure enough, there was an announcement that the ride had broken down and they weren't sure when it would be back up again.

It was yummy although maybe not quite as creamy as I would have liked. It held me over though and was a great little snack.
It's one of my favourite perks for sure! The AP entrance has been the most unexpected perk!
Well if we end up at AK on the same day in July, we will just have to pick up drinks at Thirsty River and walk the trail ourselves! I really loved it.I love the Maharajah Jungle Trek but can only occasionally get the family to walk it I think the details alone are gorgeous!
I might have got a bad batch of the mac'n'cheese. I definitely think it is worth trying as it was still good....it's just that I love the extra creamy version. EE and I were not meant to be this trip but (spoiler alert) I did manage to make it on HM! That Chip and Dale meet was the best, I think Evie and Landon would love it!Aw, how sad! EE is such a fine ride, sorry it broke down AGAIN. Apparently, some of the headliners (Haunted Mansion, EE) weren't in the cards this trip.
Love your photo with Chip and Dale. Such cute outfits!
I have this much-talked about snack on my To Try list. It looks like a really decent sized portion, but I'm sad to hear it's not a super creamy version of mac and cheese. Those are the best kinds!
We sure did! I just love the character meets...it's so fun!We really did have a similar AK path! Adorable pics with the characters!
Yes, I did! Down 17 flights of stairs and saw all the backstage part of EE. Which for a Disney geek like me was actually kind of cool. They did give us all three anytime FPs to make up for it.Did you get evacuated when you got stuck on Everest last year? I hope you got something good for being stuck on the ride for 45 minutes! lol
I missed the first bus by 5 minutes so had to wait 25 minutes for the next one to show up. That totally threw me off my game for combating spring break craziness and I certainly wasn't prepared for navigating the TTC entry.
I noticed that IASW had the shortest wait at 25 minutes so I headed in that direction.
Anyhow, drink in hand I managed to catch the show in all it's glory. This show just makes me so happy........ Main Street streetsmosphere at it's best!
Could this afternoon be any better??
This gentleman is lucky enough to spend 4-6 months out of the year in Florida and spends every Wednesday pin trading at Epcot.
My two servers were absolutely charming and flirtatious which was fun and sweet! The Italian boys sure know how to put a solo diner at her ease.
oh so yummy Peter Pan float
If you didn't take a People Mover picture, did you really ride the People Mover????
This just makes my heart so happy!
Eight Spoon cafe and try their mac'n'cheese that I had heard so much about.
I had heard a lot about the Maharajah jungle trek over the years but had never made time to explore it. I decided this would be a perfect opportunity to do so and made my way over. I absolutely loved this trail, it was so peaceful and quiet. The landscaping was beautiful and lush, it just transported you to a whole different world.
It was the best five days and exactly what I needed! All caught up, Susan! Such fun days and evenings you had!
Thanks! It's so fun to do!Sweet DISBounding!
Me too! One time I was walking on to Main St USA just as they were starting and it was so perfect!YES!! I just got to do this the other day and I always get goosebumps.
Thank you! It's my favourite magic shot ever!I love this shot! So pretty of you.
That pizza was ambrosia on a plate....one of my top ten meals!Just added this to my list of Must-do's! Looks delicious!
Oh no! Lost phone? Or camera? That's not good.No. And yes. Sadly I think this is one of the photos I lost this trip.
I love this shot too....may have to frame it for my craft room. So, SO pretty!
I love Kevin!!A KEVIN sighting!
It was great! My favorite go-to snack!!
I keep forgetting that Kevin is, in fact, a girlI was hoping to see Kevin and walked towards the right of the tree, thinking I might be able to glimpse her.
Yikes, no luck with Everest at all!Sure enough, there was an announcement that the ride had broken down and they weren't sure when it would be back up again. Oh well, at least I wasn't stuck 17 stories up for 45 minutes this time! I
From the picture, it definitely doesn't seem as creamy as the batch my girls had last August. Although I didn't actually try it myself.I was beginning to feel a bit hungry so decided to head over to Eight Spoon cafe and try their mac'n'cheese that I had heard so much about. It was yummy although maybe not quite as creamy as I would have liked.
Same here. I did walk it nearly 20 years ago, but remember next to nothing about it. I really would like to walk it again.I had heard a lot about the Maharajah jungle trek over the years but had never made time to explore it.
It was awesome seeing Kevin! I loved every minute. Yes, Everest and I were not meant to be. I think all hardcore Disney geeks find getting evaced is kind of cool. I think I got an off batch, it was still good....just not as good as it could have been. The trail is wonderful, yet another reason for you to do a solo trip!I keep forgetting that Kevin is, in fact, a girl
It must be fun to see her.
Yikes, no luck with Everest at all!
Is it weird that I am somewhat excited at the idea of being evacuate doff a ride? I've never experienced that before.

After Navi, I felt ready for lunch and headed towards my favourite lounge on property.
It was the best five days and exactly what I needed!
Oh no! Lost phone? Or camera? That's not good.
I enjoyed Navi as we were stuck for about 5-7 minutes. That time gave me time to really look at all the details and enjoy the music and theming.
my favourite lounge on property. Upon arriving at Nomad,
I was obsessed with the fig tapenade on the pomegranate bread
I loved how the baby was protected by two of the adult giraffes.
I know devotees of Flights of Wonder are not fans of the new show. Having only viewed the Up show, I was very happy with it and was fascinated by all the different birds on display.
and spends every Wednesday pin trading at Epcot. I want his lifestyle!
One day I'll figure out where that camera is....I need to step up my ride picture game, LOL!
Next up was the ultimate in deliciousness! Thanks to my friend, @kastoney I knew to order what turned out to be the best pizza of my life, the amazing Carciofi signature pie with the addition of arugula. The crust had just the right amount of char and was perfectly chewy. The truffle oil was earthy, the artichokes fresh, the fontina cheese creamy and the arugula provided a nice contrast to all the richness. I managed to finish three of the slices and almost cried to leave one behind.
If you didn't take a People Mover picture, did you really ride the People Mover????
Sure enough, she appeared and Russel and Dug were right behind! This was just so fun to see!
Soon it was my turn to visit with the boys and it was another hilarious interaction! Could they be any cuter in their dinosaur outfits?

I decided to go for the Spice Trader Classic which is Gin, vermouth blanc, lemon juice and strawberries topped with club soda.
This looks like a perfect lunch! And could eat that right now!I decided to go for the Spice Trader Classic which is Gin, vermouth blanc, lemon juice and strawberries topped with club soda. This was excellent as it was not too sweet and well balanced. So refreshing! I picked the chicken satay with cucumber salad and the Tiffins bread service for my lunch. The chicken skewers were tender and the peanut sauce just put these over the top! I was obsessed with the fig tapenade on the pomegranate bread......so delicious! I also loved the spiced coriander yogurt with the pappadum. This was an amazing meal with excellent service!!
Same!! Nomad's is just the best!Just tried this and LOVED it!!!! I will definitely make a point of stopping into Nomad's Lounge every time I step foot in DAK!!!
I think you'll be okay as long as you take the Up show for what it is. It has very charming moments. Yes, nothing better than relaxing at Nomad's.....I just love it there!
I'll get to it, but it was one of my less magical moments.
Cool!!! I'd LOVE that! There is SO much to see in there. I could ride it all day and be perfectly content.
Mine too. The BEST lounge!
That was my favorite too.
It was still very small when we saw him this trip and with its mommy when we passed by. So sweet.
I worry about this a little. I hope I don't go in Sept jaded so much that it ruins it for me. I want to have an open mind and enjoy this iteration too.
Oh my gosh, I cannot believe the drama you are going through with your MIL. I really hope everything gets sorted out and you and DH are able to go together. If worse comes to worse, a solo trip will be super fun. I am glad my report is making you feel a bit better about going on your own. The chipmunks were hilarious, especially when I asked them who got into trouble the most. . If you end up at Nomad on your trip, definitely try the Spice Trader. It is so good! I must say, I totally geeked out over Kevin. She is just the best!!Meee too!
This is SO CUTE!
I have no idea where the camera is here either!! I think I do b/c of the flash but i am never looking at it once i see the picture! The adults in the front row have the most fake smiles ever on their faces, LOL
Yum! We wrote Via Napoli off as a one and done, but that pizza sounds amazing, and your salad looked so fresh and crisp
It's practically a required photo!
Yay, Kevin! I'm so looking forward to seeing her!
I don't want to miss them in June! Their outfits are just too, too adorable
I think I'd like to be stuck here, to have the chance to really look around!
Another choice I'd probably pick too, this sounds pretty perfect!
I can't believe I got so behind! Still loving the report, and it's making me feel better b/c the June trip could end up being a solo one for me with all the craziness happening with my MIL. I was feeling sad about it, but reading more of this has re-energized me when thinking about being by myself. My first solo trip was exciting and I want to do another, but I am having trouble getting over the potential disappointment of DH not being with me in June when we've been planning it for so long.
It was so, so good!!! I am still trying to figure out how we can eat there in July but we have so many places booked. I wish I could eat three Disney meals every day, lol! This looks like a perfect lunch! And could eat that right now!
Oh, I haven't tried this one. Sounds right up my alley though. If I can tear myself away from the zing I may give this a try!I decided to go for the Spice Trader Classic which is Gin, vermouth blanc, lemon juice and strawberries topped with club soda. This was excellent as it was not too sweet and well balanced. So refreshing!
Oh this is my favorite too!!!! I'm obsessed with all things fig. We made pizzas with figs, blue cheese, prosciutto, and of course arugula the other night and it was so good.I was obsessed with the fig tapenade on the pomegranate bread......so delicious!
