We are flying into Vegas in August and will stay there for a few nights before heading west to Cali, what can we do with a teenage boy along that is a little less ....hmmmmm...:scared1::scared1: vegasy....lol.

any ideas?

We are going in july, never been before. we arrive 21st in the evening so a walk about some of the strip , planning pool next day and booked tickets tonight for KA at MGM for $55 each for the 22nd, and probably some more walks around some resorts, nothing yet planned for Fri 23rd, but got DD tickets for Justin Bieber for the 24th so maybe visit a casino that night for a few hours.

Freemont st. Exp is a great suggestion.

Also there is the bellgio fountain show, The TL Pirate Show, The Mirage volcano. The rides in Ceasar, NYNY, Circus Circus, The Startosphere, Sahara.

Let him or her take and be in pictures.

Shopping at many cansions the Fashion Mall and even rosses.

The perception for a teen is I can't drink or gamble so what's the point. Adults know they do a lot more than drink and gamble while there. Try to share that point of view.

We took our teenage daughter last year (then 12) and will be taking her again next year at which time she will be 14. She loved the Fremont St experience and looking at all the hotels. There are mini theme-parks at New York, New York, Circus Circus, MGM and Stratopshere as well as M&M World, bowling, movies and generally enjoying all the wonderful food you can have. As a PP said, there is also the pirate show at Treasure Island, Bellagio's Fountain show and the volcano eruption at MGM. Obviously, there is also lots of shopping outlets, but I'm not too sure how much this would interest a boy. There is also indoor sky diving, helicopter flight over the strip etc, etc, etc. I feel families are well catered for in Vegas now except watch out for the "card slappers" who are trying to give you cards that are inappropriate for children. Just ignore and they will ignore you.

Have fun! :goodvibes

We took DD when she was 9 and she loved Vegas. Keeps asking when we can go back. Just seeing all of the resorts on the strip is enough to keep someone entertained for days: Excalibur, New York, New York, Luxor, Bellagio, TI, etc. Also, Fremont Street one night, Stratosphere Tower, Forum Shoppes, Paris.... Tons of things to see and do, most of which are free.
