I am wondering if anyone had any recommendations for how they planned their Tokyo Disney and HK Disney trips? :goodvibes

We would like to go next May (2013) and I am starting to plan on how to do this... Help!

Did you have a TA help you? We would be flying from LAX so maybe a TA in California?

Any advice is appreciated! :wizard:

Sounds like a great trip!

Are you asking about planning for the Disney component only or the whole trip?

I did contact my American Disney specialist TA (SmallWorld Vacations) to find out if they booked for Disney vacays outside of the US.....no luck with that.

I ended up booking directly for HKDL. I found it better to ring them directly rather than using the internet.

Haven't been to Tokyo Disneyland yet.

The main reason of going over there is to see the other Disney parks :lovestruc so yes, I think I would like a TA to plan most if not all of it for us.

We have also gone through Small World Vacations for all of our Disney trips/cruise :thumbsup2 and I figured that although they are wonderful, they wouldn't be able to help with an overseas trip.

I am hoping that someone has ideas of how to bring this dream to reality. :wizard:

I was really hoping for a TA because of all the airlines/hotels and transfers... It just seems much easier to let someone else handle it. :thumbsup2

Anyone else have any ideas?

We just decided to go to Japan in 2013 and am going to go to Disney Tokyo too. Just starting to research and came across post. If you are going to fly to Tokyo and back with no other diversions to other countries working with the airline directly is not hard at all. If you have a large group of people just be aware that getting seats together could be difficult but not impossible. I would recommend using one airline for all legs if you connect if not an experienced traveler, avoids an confusion.

Hey there

I'm still new to the forum and I'm not a travel agent myself or personally know anyone that is, but for flights I've been going through a private service lately that has really helped to save me on flights for me and my fiancee to overseas places. I posted in the TDL forum that I paid $350 R/T to Tokyo with all taxes included. We usually travel a lot to Asia (she is Chinese with her parents still there) and to Europe so it really has helped us to save money. When we go back in February for Spring Festival, we'll probably stop off in HK and see the HKDL.
