Trial Club Level Fastpass+ Purchase Program Planning & Discussion

@GADisneyDad14 I am right there with you buddy. Since I made modifications to double up*; I am anxiously awaiting. Still no change.
*Doubling up on CL FP$+ is not the same as booking another FPs+ out of the the "standard" pool. :)
???
Are you using 2 days worth of CL FPs on 1 day? So you will have a total of 9 FPs?
Can you do that?

My attempt at brevity resulted in a confusing statement.

I changed my initial bookings of standard FPS+ (done by DSS) to one that is also booked as a CL FP$+ on the same day, "Doubling Up." which some DSS castmember indicate is not allowed.

A total of 6.
I was also directly told doubling up is not allowed. I had DSS book mine (CL FP and regular ones) for the 3 days we’ll use them. Then I went and revised the standard ones to double up some of the CL ones, as I’ve read here people have done. I almost immediately received a call from the same DSS CM letting me know it isn’t allowed and that she was going to change them back for me. I left it alone for a few weeks and thought about it. People here were able to continue doubling up (and using doubled up) FPs so I tentatively tried it with one. When I didn’t get a phone call, a week later I doubled up a few others.

Our trip is in July. Right now I am a “magical enhancement” victim. I should be able to book standard FPs for the remainder of our trip. I was on a roll. I had booked thru Thursday and also Saturday for a total of 6 days. I went back and wanted to add Friday. Now I am getting messages that tell me we maxed out our FPs and can’t book any more. Wait, what?! Maxed out, really?! We don’t even have the seven days that passholders (which we are) staying offsite (which we aren’t) can have. I am very frustrated about this and afraid to bring it to Disney’s attention because I have doubled on FPs (which, despite what I’ve read here, I was directly told is not allowed). I suppose if it’s not resolved by Monday/Tuesday, I will switch out the doubled up ones, call and get them to book my Friday FPs, and go back and hopefully pick up the ones I switched out.

It shouldn’t at all. “After Fireworks” people will view from Tomorrowland Terrace and will be in place for the dessert portion following HEA.
I'm pretty sure that's unclear at this point -- their description says Plaza Garden viewing -- not Tomorrowland Terrace.

New 'After Fireworks Dessert Party' debuts May 28

Because of the popularity of the Fireworks Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom Park, we are expanding the experience starting May 28 so more Guests will be able to enjoy it. During the After Fireworks Dessert Party, Guests will delight in prime fireworks views from the Plaza Garden, followed by a delectable dessert party at Tomorrowland Terrace once the show has concluded.

An enhanced menu will also debut May 28 at all Magic Kingdom dessert parties, which includes additional savory snacks such as spinach dip and house-made mini eggrolls, as well as the popular Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake from Liberty Tree Tavern.

Unclear if they are using the other plaza garden that CL are currently using, or splitting the dessert party total guests in two with the same number of guests in the current viewing area, or adding more people to the current viewing area. See maps and some discussion here: https://www.disboards.com/threads/mk-happily-ever-after-dessert-party-thread-news-new-“after-fireworks-party”-see-post-1696.3604693/page-98#post-59245335

In true Disney fashion, they did NOT release these details with the announcement, and phone and email CMs are providing zero insight.

They’ll have to have the After guests somewhere close by or there’ll be lots of overtime paid if Dessert CMs have to accommodate stragglers coming in from the Hub. The Terrace seems like the most likely place.

Perhaps @FastPasser. has viewed Hub info. :)

CM responses indicate Plaza Garden viewing. And that would make the Terrace way too crowded IMO. As of the last FastPasser post I saw, additional details weren't available on the hub, but he did say this: "Not yet, just that as show time nears, Cast Members will escort you to a prime standing area in the Plaza Garden for priority viewing of the nighttime fireworks spectacular."

Some thinking is that they might move before fireworks guests to the plaza area that CL guests currently use a portion of, and the after fireworks guests to the current plaza area closer to the dessert party.

Who knows, but it's too early to say this will have no impact on the CL guests. Just not enough info.

I suggest discussion of the new After Dessert Party event continue on the MK Dessert Party thread. There is no confirmed information about the location of this new dessert party offering. Even if the Plaza Garden West is utilized (which is pure speculation), it is nearly certain the same roped off area or similarly suitable CL FP/viewing location would be utilized.

Yup -- just wanted people here to know that was ongoing and in fact is unsettled, which is why I posted the link in my first post about this above. Then posted to clarify that it was NOT Terrace viewing, from what we can tell now. Just sharing info that might be relevant to some here. :)

Has anyone successfully doubled up the paid and regular FP and used them? I was also told it was not allowed. I waited a few days and modified so some were doubled up, but now I’m worried I won’t be able to actually use them. The CM I spoke with when I booked told me doubling up might make them disappear.

Yes, I did so a couple of weeks ago, as have quite a few others.

Or at least called and said they must be canceled. I could be wrong, but it seems it has happened to a few people.
That was me. If it's happened to others, I haven't heard of it.

After the CM "helpfully" switched the FPs back for me to how I had originally booked them, I've kept an eye on the posts here. There have been reports of people who have been able to double up without receiving a phone call and several more reports from those who have successfully used their doubled up FPs. I tentatively did it with one and waited a week. When I did not receive another phone call, I doubled up some others. Our trip is in July. I'll post with an update letting everyone know if I was able to use my doubled up FPs successfully.

Just booked my FPs. There is something about logging into your MDE and seeing 6 FPs a day listed this far in advance that is exciting. :teeth: Probably not as exciting when I look at my gift card balance now, so I will just skip that...
So I had emailed all my choices a few days ago, received an email response stating it needed to be done over the phone and someone would call me the 20th.
Today I got a call, she said she had my list, took my gift card #s and said if I had no questions I'd receive an email confirmation. A bit later I got an email.
I was on the phone for approximately 4 minutes. :)
I did ask about the Halloween party fireworks viewing, she said they did not know yet, but made it sound like they would know soon. (If we can get reserved seating for it if we have party tix)

I do think I may double up a couple, but I wont be attempting it for a few days, just incase the spies are watching :magnify:

I have to say, it is a nice feeling knowing I don't have the stress of attempting to get them at 60 days. Especially when we are only doing 1 park a day, so those darned tiers woulda got us :).

I am just completely too nervous about this still being offered for our trip. I am {perhaps foolishly} planned our whole trip with the thought that this will be available but the more and more I read, the more I'm sure it's going to disappear. AGH!
