OK, the last thread was absolutely pathetic! In a couple of days, the thread disappeared. I can't accept that :p So, to redeem ourselves, I've created USC: 7 1/2!
-------------------------------------------------

My mom took me out driving yesterday...even though I had my permit since January, this was only my second time driving. My dad took me out the first time but, he explained things too much and would point out every little thing I did wrong, and just made me so nervous! He even took me out on a street with other cars after only an hour in a parking lot! I got so freaked out and made a terrible turn way too fast...that was back when I first got my permit...so many months ago...just now got the courage to try again...

But, my mom gave it a shot of teaching me to drive yesterday. I was shocked, because she is a backseat driver type...always nags on my dad about his driving...:p But, she didn't talk too much and she even turned on the radio down low to help me relax (but not loud enough to be distracting). She's going to take me driving everyday for however long.

Anyway, a certain radio station started playing Christmas music 24/7 yesterday...a bit early??? Oh well, I'm not complaining! :teeth:

Almost time for me to see the Holiday Ghostbusters Show! Can't wait after hearing about the rave reviews. :) The good news I heard is that they start out like the original show...so, they still keep part of the original show (about half). I'm glad, so those who will have to see the Holiday Show will at least see what I'm usually seeing during my trips. :)

WENDYPOOH where are you?!?!?!?!?! When will you be going to Universal? I need to know ASAP so my mom and I can plan what day I'll take off from school. Or are we not able to meet up? I hope we do, though. Wendypooh, if you PM me, I can give you my cell number to help better our chances of meeting when we are at the parks.
It'll be especially important for us to meet up b/c your trip to Universal will be the reason I'll be missing a day of school...lol...so, let me know ASAP! :)

JessicaR, you too can get my cell number...that way you aren't just looking for the seat cushion (which isn't really hard to find me, but some people I didn't get to meet anyway...which was disappointing).

I think that's all for now...
:wave2:

Hi.......nice to be on again. Glad you had a good driving lesson - how much are driving school lessons these days? It might be worth your while booking 10 lessons before your test. I had driving school lessons for about 4 months and passed first time - it's worth it. But it's also great if you can get someone to drive with you too for extra practice. Have you thought of the type of car you would like? I've got a Chrysler Voyager in racing green with sunscreen windows at the sides. It takes a bit of getting used to initially for parking and reversing - but now love it and the kids llike all the space inside. We went down to the Coast this Summer and got there at 8 am!! The beach was quiet and we parked on the seafront - folded down the middle seats for table and had breakfast - cereal, fruit, sandwiches - it was lovely watching the waves crashing against the rocks and the sun shining - the lovely sea air wafting in. Mmmmmm.

I feel full now - cooked a roast beef dinner today with all the trimmings - yorkshire puds, roast potatoes, and vegetables washed down with a couple of glasses of red wine. Then I popped into the oven a home-made (by me :D) apple pie in rough puff pastry and we had it with double cream and with the remainder of the cream I am now drinking an Irish Coffee.

Well...going to have a read....see you in a min.....

apple pie...*drool* :p

Well, they had a Driver's Ed class AT my school...an 18 weeks course...but not much of the class is spent actually driving...so I'm not taking that (no time in schedule anyway). I'm not sure about the Driving School classes though...probably will have to be something to look into. But, for the initial practise, it's nice having my parents who won't push me to do too much too soon. My mom's ultimate goal for me is so I can drive myself to Universal Studios very soon...lol. Well, alrighty then...there's inspiration! :rotfl:

Anyway, I'm practising in my dad's Toyota Corolla...only a couple years old. Little did I know back then, when my dad let me choose the color of the car that it was because I'd be getting it later on. After my dad was all stubborn about not getting me a car and all... I wonder what my mom did to convince him on this one...:p But, I'll soon be practising in my mom's minivan...she said it would be easier for me because I'd sit up higher...but, I'm starting out in the Toyota for now. :)

So, I'm happy with the Corolla...very nice looking...but my dream car?? Hmmm....not sure...there are so many I like. :)

Isn't that funny - my dad had a Toyota Cressida (sp?) when I first past my test - very smooth, power steering and a big excelerator pedal. I had just passed my test and my dad said come on take me to the shop for a drive. Got into his car - drove down a couple of streets then down a quiet road lined with houses and a little kid of about 5 just walked right in front of me. I slammed on the brakes and missed him - but it was such a shock - especially after just passing my test that morning. Well my dad said I did well - but I was really nervous and eventually he sold his car and bought a hatch back so I could drive it. Eventually bought my first car a few months later - a green Ford Escort. When I got married bought a bright sunshine yellow metro - it was lovely! Then a plum coloured metro that was written off as I had an accident at my brother's wedding - long story, changed it for a green metro then the green Voyager. But really I would love a little red MG Sports car.....that would be wonderful.

I think you will end up with a $1,000 junkie car like everyone else did when they had their first car in high school. :)

lol. Nah, as I mentioned I get my dad's corolla...but...I have a feeling I won't be able to drive myself to school and back...not enough cars. Bummer!

Selina -- I g2g for now...going to make a quick run to the grocery store. Be back in a bit. :)

There's always the bus. Your dad's taxes are paying for it anyway. :)

lol yeah. I take the school bus to school and my mom picks me up. Afternoons would be no problem though because I could take the car while my mom is working...sometimes she likes to run to and from work to get some exercise...:)

Oh Clare....only came on for a few mins....it's past mignight and I'm really tired and got a busy day tomorrow...wish I could stay on for longer.....but that's great...I like staying on the thread just to listen to the music....jigging about in my chair I was!!!:p

P.s......how were you thinking of starting this off then? I reckon they've lurked and had a look - 12 people had looked before me!!!;)

dunno :) I wonder who those people who looked already were!! But, I think no one will appreciate it quite like you, SpideyHulk, Prince Eric, Barry Hom, and I do!! :)

Maybe start off with their credentials to be a Ghostbuster.....detailed physical attributes(!:p) then Professional ones....:D..then maybe a test to see if they have got what it takes....:smooth:
Really sorry I've got to go now

OMG LOL My mom just pointed out. You know the "Where is the Ghostbusters Show?" thread? Well, that should have had...maybe, one or two replies. You know how many there are? 56!!!!! :p :p

Just thought I'd point that out! ;)

Well, just need to survive tomorrow and it's the holidays! We decided that instead of eating out for Thanksgiving dinner, we'll just grab some leftovers at my uncle's house after the last Ghostbusters Show...that way we still get to see family. :) :p

So, what's up???

OMG I just checked the weather and it said Friday, the low will be 65 and then on Saturday the HIGH will be 66!!!!! The low for Saturday is 44!! :hyper: Yess!!!!!!!! My mom's grumpy now...she hates the cold. :p I just wish it was cooler for tomorrow, when I go to Universal...not necessarily THAT cold, but cooler than what it is...the high is in the mid 80s...yuck. :p

Anyway, i'm tired lol.

Hi Flyfly....sorry wasn't on yesterday....had a evening in with a friend! ;)

Here in England after the warmest October and November on record and the driest few months, we have been deluged with rain non-stop nearly since Saturday!! Highs of around mid-high 50's now although last week it was in the low 60's - which is still quite mild for the time of year - but Ohhhhh 80's!!!...where you are...!!
Anyway, as you know I posted on the introducing thread....noticed Barry has been on but not replied???!!! neither has DM...maybe they don't want to be GB's......if that's the case we'll concentrate on SH and PE....:p
