Sorry I've been on vacation at WDW, so haven't been checking the boards. If you request a physical card, they will also immediately issue you a virtual number that you can use right away for online purchases, thats what I did for Sams Club and continue to do every day until the boost expires. They will also mail you a physical card that you can use with any boost applied to your card for purchases in physical B&M stores.

How can you add cash at a store without the physical card

Just a note on the cash app, if you want to make sure that the boost applies correctly, only add to your cash back account the amount you expect to pay with the boost. So, if you are buying a $200 gift card, only add $180 to your cash app. That way if for whatever reason they don't apply the boost, your order will just get declined.

Hi - I am planning to purchase a bulk DGC order (probably $5,000) from BJs when they have the 6% sale that starts on 11/16. I have an Old Navy Visa that will give me 5x points at wholesale clubs in Nov & Dec. I'm thinking this is my best option right now - unless there's a better deal out there I may have missed? (Assume I have all kids of credit cards, I have tons of them - Amex, Chase, Discover, you name it).

I'd split it between chase freedom cards and pay with paypal for 5%

For those who live in the Northeast, check your Amex offers for an offer of 15% or 20% back at Shoprite. I had the offer on 5 out of 8 cards. If you have the offer on multiple cards, make sure to save it on the card that gets the most at grocery stores like the Amex Blue.

Does anyone know if I can use this online at Sams? We don’t have one close so I would only shop online. I wouldn’t attempt to use it for gift cards, just regular merchandise online.

I just want to especially thank you for your help. I know it must have seemed obvious that I didn't research this site before bothering anyone. But I don't do the clever 3rd party buying tricks (brain is just too old) and don't shop at most of the stores I noticed listed a while ago or don't have many of the listed credit cards etc. etc. (I am very happy with Target & BJ's...and cherish their special promos). The site is overwhelming to me and you have no idea how much I appreciate your links.

It never fails to make me feel grateful when someone takes the time to answer a question, dumb or obvious from me on DIS. That is not always the case on other sites.

RANT:
After following everyone's brilliant advice here, I opened up a Cash App card and got the 5% boost for Sam's. Then I deposited funds and went to Sam's online to order a $500 DGC. All seemed to go well and I got my boost back almost immediately upon placing the order. Then when I went to check the order status at Sam's, I found out they had canceled my order! I tried to chat with online support and they told me that the reason for the cancellation was "unclear". They will get back to me within 48-72 hours with a reason. Now, it will take 5-7 business days to refund my money. So, now they've taken my cash to sit on for the next two weeks. Has this happened to anyone else?

BJs deal is currently live for their 6% discounts on DGCs. I made sure to use the Rakuten app to link me to the BJs website so that I'll get another 1.5% off. We will see if the checking out with PayPal fools Rakuten since they won't have an itemized receipt to look at electronically.
