Day 2
Part 3: OMG you have a Drizella... (VIDEO TOO!)
When I sat down to write this update, I really wanted to due it justice because it truly was one of the best parts of our trip. I found it hard to write due to lack of memory lol AND because the video shows it so much better. So have a quick read and enjoy the video!
When I last left off we had left Animal Kingdom and were headed on the bus to.... The Grand Floridian. We had a date with a Prince!
Once we got to The Grand Floridian we nipped into the bathroom by Park Fare to change into V’s Cinderella Dress. They really should have made that bathroom bigger! It took a little while, but we finally got one of the 2-3 stalls and got V changed. Then trying to wash her hands or brush her hair or anything forget about it! (We did of course wash hands, it was tiny!)
We were seated at a table for 2 (next time I will be asking for a table for 4 that was a tiny table!)I just felt like we were packed in like sardines. There was no sign of any characters in sight so we headed for some food! It was hard to get V to eat much. It had been hard all day! I think because it was just so hot.
I learned that Strawberry Soup isn’t an appetizer, but dessert! Oh man was it delicious! I have utterly no recollections regarding the food at Park Fare. I don’t think I was overly impressed, but we weren’t there for the food!
Our server took the plates away just before the handsome Prince arrived. V kind of liked him! Not that I blame her, he certainly was Prince Charming!
A lovely couple on their honeymoon offered to take a picture of all of us.
After the Prince, the server brought out V’s special surprise and something I was waiting very impatiently for. Yes the kid already had birthday cakes on her birthday, but this was her birthday trip and every birthday girl needs CAKE! I was really impressed with the cake. It tasted delicious and the bakers did an excellent job. The Grand Floridian bakery doesn’t always have the best reputation with their custom cakes, but I didn’t have a single complaint! It was a yellow cake with milk chocolate mousse filling. It was decorated to resemble Cinderella’s pink dress. I purchased the character toppings the day before at World of Disney. Yummy! It was huge so much more cake than we needed but it was the smallest custom they could do. I took the cake back and packed it in a Tupperware I’d brought in the fridge.
After V blew out her candle it was time for Lady Tremaine! V was a tad nervous about Lady Tremaine coming. She does have a slight fear of the Villains, although I don’t know that I would classify Lady Tremaine as a Villain. She was a lot younger than I expected and she was very prim/proper, not very villain like. V liked her well enough.
Anastasia came next and she was thrilled with her Mini Me! It wasn’t as big of a reaction as I was anticipating.
Cinderella came next, I liked her, and she had a bit more personality than many of the Cinderella’s I’ve seen.
