This is my first PTR ever and so this is all so new to me. My name is Charlotte and I'm a single mom to a wonderful daughter named Olivia! I've been to Disney World several times as a young child and even as a teenager but the last trip I made to Disney World was in Spring of 1998 for a Band Trip. I live in North Carolina and I love it here..Especially now that it's getting and staying warm out!

For the past 3 years I've been trying my hardest to be able to afford a trip to WDW for both Olivia and myself but just haven't been able to do it. But this year is different for us. It's a turning point for us and I know now that we will make it. Wanna know why? It's because We Are Going to Disney World!!! This trip was planned very quickly because I knew that going in May would be the perfect timing for us to go, since in the fall she'll be in school and I'll be going back to school to get my degree.

I decided to go May 2-May 7th this year and it seems like it's taking forever to get here. We are going the week after Olivia's 6th birthday and so not only is this going to be Olivia's 1st Trip but it's also a Birthday Celebration for her as well. :woohoo:

Now here's the Cast:

Charlotte (29):

I love Disney Movies! Some of my favorite are Mary Poppins, So Dear to my Heart, Pollyanna, and more. I work in a Local Chiropractors Office as the Insurance Specialist. I graduated from our Community College with a Certificate in Medical Billing and Coding and am heading back to school in the fall to complete the Degree. I love to read, draw, dance and do photography. Always has a camera with me at all times! I just can't wait for our trip!

Olivia (5, almost 6):

Olivia loves Snow White to death. She has talked about going and seeing her princess and hopes that this trip she'll even be able to take a picture with her. Even though it's her first trip to WDW she's a big Disney Fan!!! She loves every new movie that has come out lately and hopes that she can meet everyone in it! Olivia loves to Dance and is definitely a girly girl in so many ways. She is so excited for our trip too!!!

Next Post will have where we are staying and ADR's!

Aww!!! I hope your LO gets to see Snow White. I saw her last trip. She is my fav. too!!! Deff check out Germany in Epcot

Ok now that we have the introduction out of the way we are going to move onto where we will be staying and our ADR's we've made. When I first started to plan this trip I was going to go through AAA. But then when I started adding things up and then started looking at the promotions that Disney World had I decided that it was best for me to go ahead and book through Disney directly. So I will be getting a $300 GC when I check in on May 2nd. Yay for Spending $$ there!

It took me a couple of days to figure out where we were going to stay. I wanted to stay at CBR and had it all planned out money wise to go ahead and book it but when I showed the resort to Olivia she didn't want that one. Instead she wanted the All Star Movies Resort because it had Mickey Mouse in the pool and it had 101 Dalmations. So instead I went ahead and booked that one and with the extra money that we saved from booking that resort instead of the CBR I decided to get the Park Hopper Option with our tickets.

Since I've never stayed on site before at Disney and it has been 12 years since I've been then I decided to go ahead and splurge and get the Dining Plan too. We will now have the regular Dining Plan and this works out well for us. Normally we don't eat a big breakfast anyways so most of our TS credits will be used during the days and nights. We will be arriving to Disney World on May 2nd in the late afternoon so we didn't plan for anything that night. Instead we'll probably head over to MK just to see what we can find and do.

I've gone ahead and set up several ADR's for us to enjoy. I'm still hoping to get one more in for another day so that we can eat at the Ohana Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch.

Here are our ADR's:

Monday, May 3rd 7:55pm-Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare

Wednesday, May 5th 1:55pm-Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot. (Olivia can't wait for this one!!! She's too excited about it!)

Thursday, May 6th 12:30pm-Hollywood & Vine Playhouse Disney Lunch in HS

My next post I will try to post hopefully our planned days and what we have packed if anything. LOL

You should enjoy Play & Dine. Our kids loved it last trip. Sounds like your little princess will be immersed in Disney princess Magic!!! Are you bringing along a princess dress?

She has a Snow White Costume but we're not too sure if it still fits. It should because she's little and can still wear some 4t clothes but mostly 5's now. I might have to try it on her just to see if it fits.

I have sort of figured out where will be on the days while we're in Disney. I'm still sorting it out and so this might change a little. But can't change it too much because it's almost time to leave. We have only 18 more days left!! :cool1:

Sunday: Day we arrive and we might head over to Magic Kingdom for the evening and something to eat for dinner too and get a snack.

Monday: Magic Kingdom. The few musts that we will have to do here is Tea Cups, Dumbo, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Railroad and I'm sure we'll find more to do!! Then at 7:55pm we have ADR for Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner.

Tuesday: Animal Kingdom. We want to do the Safari, also want to do the Finding Nemo Musical as well. We don't have any ADR's here today but I'm still hoping that we can either do Chef Mickey or Ohana this day for Breakfast. Maybe in the evening we'll head down to Downtown Disney for some shopping and looking around.

Wednesday: Epcot. We want to do the figment and a few other things here. Plus I want to try and make it around to most of the countries but we'll feel it out and if Olivia gets fidgety then we'll stop and leave and go somewhere else. We do have ADR at 1:55pm for the Akershaus Dinner with the Princesses. Yay! Livy can't wait for that!!!:cloud9:

Thursday: Hollywood Studios. We plan on doing a lot of the things here. Olivia is very excited to eat lunch with JoJo and June at 12:30pm!!! Then we'll again head down to Downtown Disney to do some last minute shopping. Maybe we'll get some souviners for others doing the MLP Box Stuffing. She's loves MLP!!! We are bringing some so that she'll have them on the plane ride down.

Friday: Traveling back home day! We have to be at the airport around 9am or so. Guess we'll be seeing a lot of MCO I guess!!!

I know that during the days we'll be going back to the Resort to make use of the pool. I decided not to get the waterpark option because Olivia is not a good swimmer and it's really too advance for her. This summer I plan on taking her to Emerald Pointe which is in Greensboro, NC about 3 hours from us to give that a try. We'll see how that really goes then and maybe our next trip we can do the waterparks too!

Next Post will be about Packing and whatever else I can think of!:cutie:

So I thought I was going to have already started packing but guess what i haven't. I have about 14 days left until we leave and I don't even know where to begin. I had to order some shorts online from Old Navy because I went in search for jean shorts yesterday and came up empty handed. It's like no where around here has shorts that are above the knee for plus sized woman. I'm honestly not looking to have shorts to my knees I am only 29 and I still like them short. LOL

Well I have been going to the stores lately picking up small items that I would think that I would need and have found several things to put in my carry on bag. And the other things will go into my big luggage. Let's hope that we don't go over our weight limit for any of the two bags we're taking. I'm taking my large bag and Olivia is taking a small one. We've also decided on not taking our own beach towels and if we need anything then we'll just use the ones at the resort.

I'm also working on a few neat shirts for Olivia so that she'll have a few for while we're down there or on our way. Just trying to save some money in the long run. The two things I ended up purchasing yesterday while at the outlets about an hour away from us was a pair of crocs and a pair of Teva's. I used to have teva's but have since moved so many times that I can't locate them and they happened to be on sale yesterday so I picked them up. Now I just need to start packing up Olivia's clothes that we want to take with us and then pack my bag and we'll be all set. I'm sure I'll wait until the last minute to pack like I normally do. LOL

Just wanted to say hi! I am a single mom to one DD, Bella, who is four and her first trip will be at the same time as yours! We may run into each other at the parks!!!

That's so awesome! You never know. I am going to try my hardest to stay updated on these boards but will only have access to the internet through my blackberry. LOL. Will update more on my facebook page. :thumbsup2 I hope that you and Bella have a great trip!!!

I can't believe that we have 1 day left before we head to the World!!! It seems like this past month has flown by so quickly. I have to say though that yesterday at 5pm seemed like a bit of a relief because it meant that I was on official vacation!!! Well I did my final Walmart Run last night and also picked up a few extra things. I was looking for a smaller camera bag for my DSLR which I happened to find for $20 at Walmart and surprisingly it fit my extra lens in it too.

Now onto packing I have packed most of the things that I want to take for myself but still need to finish packing Olivia's things. I did happen to finish up those shirts that I was making for her so that is making everything a little more special for us while we're in the World. I also am packing Olivia's Snow White Costume because she doesn't know that last night I went ahead and booked on Monday at Downtown Disney a special surprise for Olivia at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. She's so going to love it!!

Today I have my work cut out for me though. I have to finish packing, cleaning and going to the gym to work out. If I can fit it in there someplace I'm going to have a pedicure done too. :) We'll see if that will even happen but we have to be ready to roll tomorrow morning when we meet my dad who is taking us to the airport and dropping us off. I have to make sure that I have everything together. Yay! We're going to Disney World and Can't wait!!! :cloud9:
