After taking the tour at SSR a couple weeks ago (with no intention to purchase this year) we decided we didn't want to wait. We debated between SSR and AKV (really liked both) but we decided on 160 points at SSR (lower annual fees). At this point, we felt like the 11 month window would not help that much since we rarely plan more than 6 months in advance and we are not picky about where we stay. Our DD is only 18 months so it will be awhile before we are restricted by school schedules.
Before we made the decision to purchase, we poured through these boards so we could make an informed decision. Actually even before our tour we were well versed about the basics of DVC. Thank you for all your insight and good advice. We are very happy with our decision!
We already booked our first trip in Sept. (2BR at OKW). We are taking our friends and we are so looking forward to it. Then in October we are going for 2 nights for MNSSHP (staying at our new home in SSR). I can't wait!
