People just love to insult Florida and Floridians - we're the 2022 version of New Jersey. What cracks me up is most come from states with far more looneys, drugs and crime.

Aren't they really just trashing New Yorkers when they do that? After all Miami is the 6th Borough of NYC.

Actually Miami used to be that way until the 70s/80s. Its more like a latin nation now - very international in feel. The New York/Jersey/Philly crowd tends to settle in Boca & points north.

Same as how all the good cops on tv and in movies get away with a lot. Heroes have to stay heroes.

Same for most doctors and nurses on tv.

Yeah, I don't watch any TV cop shows. I think it was one of the Law & Order episodes where they called defense lawyers scum. Like everyone they charge is guilty and shouldn't have a defense and cops can break whatever laws they want to prove their case.

I was going to respond the same way. Sounded like she Gibbs-slapped him. But she added profanity and yelling to the mix, which is the difference, I'd think.

It's amazing how "Gibbs-slapped" has become a part of the American vocabulary.

In the (in my opinion, highly underrated) movie, "John Carter", our titular hero and a group of Martian Tharks invade the wrong city. Upon that realization, the Thark named Tars Tarkas Gibbs-slaps John Carter. Whenever we get to that scene in the DVD, my wife and I both say, "Gibbs-slap!" LOL
