I assume this is some kind of event at the pool.

And the movie isn't kid friendly - at least the time we were
there. I had to keep my son at the other end and entertained.
There were tons of kids mesmerized at the movie end of
the pool and it was not a kid movie. Lots of mudering going
on. That was the only annoyance in our fantastic visit there.
Luckily it was only 1 night. Sure wish - since it is SOOO loud
and very obvious - that it would be kid friendly.

Thats horrible, The movies we have seen have all been appropriate. Dr Doolittle and Blue Hawaii. I think we have seen 1 more, but I cant remember what it was. (memory is just not what it used to be, LOL)

4-me We had the same experience at the HRH. We had to scoot our 3 boys out of the pool area that night quickly. It was definately NOT a kids movie - can't remember the title - my DH knew what it was. Maybe at the HRH, they're aiming movies more for a teen crowd??

Wow! Kinda surprised to hear that! When we went to the dive-ins it was always a family oriented movie.

That is odd!!!! I hope that doesn't happen when we go!

I'm surprised by that as well. When we were at the HRH we saw Jimmy Neutron and one of the Batman movies.

I think its subject to change not too sure but I am sure HRH was reported as a friday night:jester:

Sorry you had a bad time.Today everything is open so teen movies that are PG would be rated R in the 70's.

We were at RPH - not HRH. I personally would expect G or
at worst PG at RPH - it just seems family oriented. The whole
movie seemed very dark. One of the few scenes I remember
from the few times I glanced over was these people were
in a bar and this one guy looked like he was going to shake
this other guys hand and instead somehow spit of shot
a thin rod like dagger into the guy. Either his head or chest
I can't recall. But the camera just hung on him and watching
him die - I can't imagine that wouldn't be an "R" rated scene.

I should have complained to someone- but we were having such
a good weekend I didn't want to get in a bad mood. So I
just distracted my son with lots of fun water play at the other
end. If DH had been out there (he was walking the dog) he
would have probably personally shut the movie off. LOL

We will be back in two weeks - here is hoping for a movie we
can actually watch! It is a cool idea showing movies at the
pool.

Not that they should be showing non-family friendly movies for dive in, but you can inquire earlier in the day what the movie will be and the rating. If you think it is inappropriate, you can register your complaint at this time.
