What's the latest scoop on the refillable mugs?

I remember reading a while back that Disney was revamping the refillable mugs. We leave in three days for ASMu. Should I take my All Star Mug from my trip last March? I usually only use it for my morning cup of coffee.

We were told by Disney Executive Offices that the "official, official, thing"(said sarcastically) is the mugs are only good for the length of stay. However the resorts have made up their own rules and if a guest has a mug, it will be refilled. So, take that for what its worth.
About the bar codes, the CM confirmed that that is just a rumor.

Take the cup. The worst that will happen is they'll ask you to purchase a new one.

As a previous poster said, Disney's official policy is that the mugs are for length of stay ONLY. This means that if you reuse a mug from a previous trip you are breaking the "rules." (unenforced, as it is).

I would buy a new mug.
