I really need to find some but our grocery stores as well as pharmacies around here don't carry any. Does it go by a different name in Canada?

Have you seen Borax for sale in Canada?

I have bought it in my local Zehrs grocery store here in sw Ontario (its parent company is Loblaws) I'm not sure if you have that down east or not.

It's usually just in the laundry detergent aisle here.
Huge kind of greenish box that says Borax. :)

Down here we have Real Atlantic Superstores (Loblaws) but they don't carry it...I will ask if they can order it in...

What do you all use your borax for?

I think I have picked it up at the Canadian Tire store. My husband needed it for something to do with an old car engine.

I buy Borax in Walmart and make GAC [oozy kid stuff] S

I have a box in my cupboard that we used at my son's birthday party to make crystals, but I can't remember what store I got it at. It is available in Canada.

Hello!

I've found Borax in Walmart and Loblaws in the laundry detergent aisle. It's in a light green box. Here's a link to a pic of the box I've found:

I use it as an automatic diswashing detergent. It is WAY better for the environment and is SOOOO cheap! It works great! You just use one tablespoon of borax, and one tablespoon of baking soda in each load. I split it between my detergent trays, so half a tablespoon of each in each tray.

I'll have to try that...

I buy it at the Superstore here in Truro. We mix it with sugar to get rid of ants.

I have a front load washer - they tend to get a dampish smell if you leave the door closed between loads. I was advised to put 1/2 cup in with the loads to get rid of it - works great! I tend to only use it with the towels and sheets though - not sure how it works with the clothes.

I was out at Walmart today and was down the detergent aisle, and found the borax to be in the same aisle but with the Clorox for unbleachables, OXY, and various other stain remover products. I believe that it was about $4.80. So yes it is sold here in Ontario at least at our Walmart anyhow.

I was at the Home Hardware store yesterday and saw it in the cleaning supplies aisle selling under their Natura brand.

another curious mind her wondering what everyone is using Borax for? Is it laundry detergent, and if so is it different then regular soap?

I FOUND SOME!!!!

I went to the OTHER Atlantic Superstore and they had some...I am going to use it to try to get rid of the ants...

What does everyone else use it for?
