Out of many, many photos that I really like, right now I think these 4 are my favorites (all from 2011 trip)...
This is one of my all time favorite shots I've done. I have a 13x20 of this printed on canvas hanging on my office wall. It was taken somewhere in AK, and I think it was along the path from Discovery Island to Dinoland. The contrast of the colors really does it for me.
I haven't actually looked much at this picture for awhile, but when going through Lightroom to pick out photos for this little post, this one stuck out. It was also my first time seeing FoLK (erm, and only so far) and I spent much of it watching through the viewfinder (which is a plus for me, I see things much differently through that viewfinder than I normally do)
I think he was starting to get annoyed with me. I had already taken ~20 shots of this guy when I noticed I still had the camera cranked up to ISO 1600... that'd be a bit noisy. So I set it back down and retook them. Pure luck.
One of my other pride and joys and certainly one of my all time favorites. This is coming next week as a 16x20 canvas too (Groupon/LivingSocial deals for the win!) Taken on my last day at the parks on that trip, and what happened to be the 40th anniversary of MK opening. Shallow depth of field and the raw sharpness of the in focus areas makes it stand out to me.
So many of the photos here are absolutely stunning!
I'm super indecisive and I probably have wayyyyy more shots of the parks than I should, so it was really hard for me to choose which ones I wanted to share. I narrowed it down to just a few.....per coast.
@Traylorc...if you don't mind my asking how are you getting that "painting-like" effect on your photos? They are just stunning...like a painting I could hang on the wall. Thanks!
