Sky writing over disney

I haven't thought about this guy in a long time. He used to show up at all kind of big sporting events during the 70's and 80's...

I'm not keeping track/paying attention so I'm not sure.

But are the same people that are saying it's okay for the sky writer because it's freedom of speech...the same people that want the mods to close this thread??? hmmmm...

Thanks!!! It really DOES take away from it. And when youre lollygagging through the park - it really DOES take away from that 'removed from reality' feeling you have when youre at WDW.

Seriously, when we were in epcot and saw this, i thought it was kind of cute. It gave me a few minutes of rest as my kids stopped to try and read the message I am a religious person so I thought the message was good and VERY funny when he messed up and did it upside down
Again, I saw the writing in Epcot and it did not obscure from any special views. Had I been trying to take a once in a lifetime photo of my little angel in front of the castle all dolled up... well I would be photoshopping the pic for sure.

I am sure the ones that like the message are a lot like myself... it didn't obscure from that special photo op or that magical moment in time. Most people see it off in the distance and not right smack in the background of the castle

As I said in my last post, I love Jesus as much as the next person but this looks more like graffitti than a religious message.

I have been reading this thread and getting a chuckle out of it I mean whats the big deal?!?... Before seeing the darling princess photo... now I can see the point of the annoying part of the skywriting. If it had been in the photos of my princess after her BBB... pics that she will save and have forever... well that would tick me off. I love Jesus as much as the next person but that photo shows me how much it takes away from pics ...

In that particular photo it really takes away from the wonder and magic of the castle.

Praline, DH agreed w/you.... We are Christians but felt that it did take away from the BBB photo. The CMs were wonderful about it and did try to accomadate us. For this particular are I am sure this sky writing is a "thorn' ( in the Rose Garden ) for the CMs trying to do BBB pics.

But see...he isn't trying to recruit anybody to anything! It is a simple message - Jesus loves you. A simple statement that is being taken way out of proportion! Geez - why is it that the mere mention of the name Jesus makes people freak out?

but he doesn't just write jesus loves you. he writes things like "jesus loves babies" which is obviously telling people that he is pro-life. which is all find and dandy for him but as i mentioned before, i don't want to think about abortion while at disneyworld. and i don't want his views ruining the beautiful blue sky in my photos.

I think that as long as the debate remains civil (which, for the MOST part, with some glaring exceptions, it has), the mods will allow it. If it seems to have run its course, and nobody is offering up anything new, and they feel it's causing too many hard feelings, I think they will close it. It should probably get moved to the CB, in any case.

No need to be rude...my question was valid. Just because you see someone doing something that you might not do or understand does not mean that is ALL that person does.

It would seem to me that if this individual expresses his love for the Lord to the extent that he would gladly be ridiculed for it, than it's a good bet that he would also serve in other ways as well.

really though...that sky writer taught me a lot. he taught me that jesus loves baiies. so now, i've decided that i also love baiies. baiies are awesome.
